Our tagline is an important part of our brand identity and proper usage is essential to ensure all staff is on the same page. The tagline is what helps identify us aside from our competitors. It breathes life into who we are, DCO Energy.

The tagline is only intended for use by DCO Energy staff, digital, and print materials. Tagline use outside of professional use is prohibited. The tagline should never be should never be altered in any way.

Proper Logo Use

The DCO Energy logo is a customized typographic mark that represents our identity. It serves as a visual branding and element used in all communications.

Logo should be used in all applicable DCO Energy communications to represent us this includes emails, faxes, letterhead, and business cards.

Always type DCO section in caps. It matches our logos intention to our audience. Proper spelling is DCO Energy.

Reproducing the DCO Energy logo without permission is not permitted. This logo cannot be used outside of proprietary communications ranging from all print and digital mediums.

Recommended Formats Are: eps. | ai. | .pdf | .png | jpg. | .tiff

If there are any other questions regarding logo use, please contact the marketing department.

Proper Logo Size

To keep integrity of the logo, it is always surrounded with a clear white space. The minimum size of the logo is an 1/2” for email signatures. Always maintain the logo’s aspect scaling. No skewing, stretching, or altering.

Correct Variations and Color Use

Always use the logos in their original forms and colors shown below. Alterations of any other type are prohibited. Tagline logo may be used in color variations shown below. White logo is secondary, only used on color.

Improper Logo Use

The DCO Energy logo is a customized typographic mark that represents our identity. Follow these set of rules to ensure the proper use of our brand logo.

These are some rules to be followed strictly for the use of the DCO Energy logo. These rules are to be followed to ensure logo use is executed properly.

Alterations of the DCO Energy logo such as rotating, skewing, and adding of unnecessary elements should are prohibited.

The logo should not be resized in any way outside of the proper guidelines in the last section.

Typography

The DCO Energy brand uses one font: Franklin Gothic URW.

All print and digital materials should include both of these fonts to represent the brand or use approved alternative.

However, if Franklin Gothic URW is not available all internal communications should be in Arial Narrow or Arial. As it is the closest to our standard custom font that will translate well across PowerPoint presentations and internal communications.

For printed materials and specialized presentations, always use Franklin Gothic URW for body copy as the selected part of our visual identity.

Please do not use any other fonts than approved fonts listed. For any further questions about brand typography, contact the Marketing Department.

Color Palette

Our color palette represent who we are and help us stand out in our industry.

It’s important to keep all our colors consistent on all our materials ranging from PowerPoint presentations all the way to our email signatures. DCO Energy has a total of one primary color, three secondary colors, and one accent color.

No other colors are permitted to be used in line with DCO Energy communication. Our colors show our innovation, cuttingedge, and determined company culture.

Always choose the correct color formula that best suits the medium you are working on. Proper color codes are provided on the right hand side to ensure all colors of company brand are portrayed correctly.

Voice And Tone

DCO Energy is a family owned company dedicated to positively impacting the community by outreach building, hiring, and contracting locally.

The DCO Energy’s tone is how the company appears and how others will perceive it.

Tone can change at any time, but the values of DCO Energy can never get lost if we maintain consistency with our voice. Always allow company values to shine through when writing: Powering Our Communities Sustainably.

DCO Energy’s tone of voice is straight forward, plain-spoken, and genuine.

All communication for DCO Energy should not be done in the first person unless it is a blog article, social media, email, instant message, or letter. All social media posts need to be approved by senior management. Also, project descriptions should be in third person utilizing active voice, not passive voice.

Avoid Passive Voice When Writing. Always Use Active.

AVOID SLANG

Dude, you totally shouldn’t’ write like ‘dis.

WRITE WITH CONFIDENCE AND KEEP IT

SIMPLE.

Always ask for help if you need it. Do not forget, the simpler, the better!

ALWAYS USE 3RD PERSON.

Always write in third person if it could be helped. Obviously, emails, blogs, and other forms of communication can require first.

E-Mail Signatures

DCO Energy has constant external communications across all companies.

Specifically, email is one of the most common ways of conducting business. Email signatures are essential for anyone to know who they are corresponding with via message.

However, all email signatures should match like the one on the right.

Do not alter the integrity of the signature.

All DCO Energy employees, please only use the all company logos if you liaison with our family of companies.

Always make sure your signature is attached to every email including responses. If there are any questions on how to do so, please contact the IT department to ensure your signature is done properly.

By using this design, we created a spacious feeling and open-air to the quality for all written correspondences. This letter welcomes the use of type, a long message, and a professional brand.

Business Cards

To ensure that the DCO Energy brand is represented consistently throughout the entire company this business card is to be used only.

One side is to be utilized to clearly display all required information: phone, email, location, office, cell (if applicable).

All DCO Energy staff are prohibited from creating their own personal business cards. Please do not alter or stretch or alter the business card on a digital format ex. on a personal cellular device.

You can order business cards through the Marketing department. You must submit a business card request form located in Marketing Public SharePoint. Please keep in mind it will take up to two weeks to receive your business cards.

Always place your business card request ahead of time. You will receive a proof to approve before your card moves to print.

Brand Agreement

When using the DCO Energy brand, it is important to maintain the image of commitment to community building and enriching others in an equal opportunity environment. Upon receiving this booklet, you agree to uphold the integrity of the DCO Energy brand. You will not alter creative, skew, or go outside the parameters defined in this book.

Use the brand guide as a form of reference for your every day communications. If your unsure of your business cards, letterhead, or even your email signature. Use this book for insight. If this book doesn’t answer your questions, contact Marketing. We can help with any questions!

Basic Rules

DO NOT SKEW, ALTER, OR CHANGE TEMPLATES.

Avoid changing templates like the letterhead. Branding becomes effective when all materials are the same.

All content must follow proper brand use. Do not go outside of the provided content to you from Marketing. If you need new materials, just ask!

Use DCO Energy colors on everything! Don’t be scared to add a splash of purple here and there. Just make sure it is the right purple in the brand guide.

Navigating The Marketing SharePoint

The Marketing SharePoint has a bunch of great resources for any quick access marketing materials like letterheads, company logos, and email signatures.

You can access the Marketing SharePoint by following this link: https://jingolidco. sharepoint.com/:f:/r/sites/ Marketing/Shared%20 Documents/Marketing%20 Repository?csf=1&web=1&e=fNxrZ6

You can also access the Marketing SharePoint through the Human Resources Portal by logging into your credentials and clicking the button “Marketing SharePoint”.

Navigating the SharePoint

At the top section of the SharePoint, there are three sections: “Marketing Request” for custom requests. (Covered within the next pages of booklet) If you need a logo, you can click the folder in the middle. If you need a specific company flyer, it is the link on the right. All other folders below are other resources you can access.

How to Download A File

1. Each folder name defines what they are for. For example, Click Flyer underlined.

2. Click The Company you need a Flyer for.

3. Double click the flyer you want from the list and then click download on the top left.

How to Submit a Custom Marketing Request

You can submit custom requests, business cards, and more through the Marketing Request portal. This can be accessed through this link: https://jingoli.sysaidit.com/ servicePortal/

The Marketing Request portal can also be accessed through the Marketing SharePoint and HR Portal through logging in.

After you click this the Marketing Request folder, it will take you to a screen where you can submit the request here.

You can then click the box for the request topic you may need.

Submitting A Request

1. Each Box Will Tell The User What it Is For. Click the box, closest to your marketing need and click submit request.

2. Fill out the request form, title, description, and urgency. You can also attach files.

3. After make sure you click submit on the bottom right. Marketing will then receive your request!
