BOARDWALK HALL

Atlantic City, New Jersey

In preparation for the demolition of an Atlantic City Hotel, JINGOLI was contracted to relocate the thermal piping systems that fed the adjacent Boardwalk Hall. Approximately 700 trench feet of steam, condensate, chilled water supply, chilled water return, and communication conduits were installed down Missouri Avenue to the boardwalk where JINGOLI proceeded to excavate and tunnel under the boardwalk until reaching Boardwalk Hall. Numerous utility and structural conflicts were encountered along the route necessitating modifications and relocations to existing commodities.

HOLTEC INTERNATIONAL HEADQUARTERS

Camden, New Jersey

JINGOLI provided services for the site development of the new HOLTEC Corporate Headquarters and Manufacturing Facility in Camden, New Jersey. The work primarily consisted of clearing the site of existing underground foundations and utility infrastructure from the 100 year old existing South Jersey Port Corporation Facility, the systematic removal and relocation of 150,000 CY of stockpiled spoils staged on site from previous Delaware River dredging operations, and the installation of 10,000 LF of various new utilities including water, sanitary, storm, and electrical duct-bank.

JCP&L UNDERGROUND DISTRIBUTION DUCT-BANK

Warren, New Jersey

JINGOLI has performed Site Civil work at multiple Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) Substations throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Almost all projects were completed within active, high voltage substations, therefore great care and precaution was taken to protect existing underground and overhead facilities.

Most projects entailed excavation and concrete work for new foundations to set a variety of substation equipment, such as surge arrestors, breakers, and transformers along with excavation and backfill for new conduits and grounding associated with the new equipment. This work included procuring and setting large precast manholes, installation of cable trenches, and concrete encasement of conduits. Ancillary work performed to facilitate these projects included demolition of existing foundations and manholes, containment berms and oil containment liners, installation and maintenance of soil erosion and sediment control measures, and crane mat installation for deep foundation drilling.

MCCARTER PSE&G SWITCHYARD

Newark, New Jersey

In the West Ward of Newark, New Jersey, JINGOLI performed the site work for the construction of a new PSE&G Switchyard. Installation consisted of ductbanks, manholes, and cable trench systems for the 13kV and 26kV yards, along with grounding grid and associated site work. Upon completion of the utility installations, 50,000 tons of dense graded aggregate was imported to the site to achieve final grade. JINGOLI then led the design build team in constructing a 25-foot-tall precast concrete architectural perimeter wall with mounted art work, mosaics, and sculptures from various renowned local artists.

MONTOUR POWER PLANT

Montour, Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania Power & Light contracted with JINGOLI to install 12 miles of 24” HDPE cooling water discharge line from their Montour Power Plant to the Susquehanna River. Several installation methods and techniques were used to install the pipeline through 26 stream crossings, 3 railroad crossings, and 10 state road crossings. In addition to the complexities presented by the different crossings, JINGOLI installed the pipeline through wetlands and active farmland. The pipeline terminates 100 feet into the Susquehanna River where JINGOLI installed a portable cofferdam system to construct a diffuser system.

NEW JERSEY STATE PRISON

Trenton, New Jersey

Entering Thanksgiving weekend, the New Jersey State Prison, a maximum-security facility in Trenton, New Jersey, asked for assistance in repairing an underground watermain within the confines of its prisoner recreation area. The area, surrounded by a 15-Foot concrete wall with 6-Feet of razor ribbon on top necessitated an alternate approach to perform the excavation. JINGOLI rapidly advanced an engineered solution to lift a 10 Ton Backhoe over the detention wall, into the recreation area, so that the repair could be facilitated. Under the watchful eye of armed guards and tower security, JINGOLI expedited the repair while preparing to work a continuous 24 hour day because of the security issues at the site.

THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR FACILITY

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

In preparation for the retirement of the Three Mile Island Nuclear Facility, JINGOLI was contracted to install various improvements necessary to facilitate the decommissioning operation. This consisted of installing a 2,200 CY concrete pad for the storage of spent nuclear fuel, road improvements from the reactor building to the storage pad, construction of a new security building with a ballistic enclosure, and security upgrades consisting of cameras, fencing, and motion detection devices.
