A Message From Your President and Bulletin Editor Hello wolves! Hope you guys are enjoying a spooky (and very hot) end to October! Here comes the fun part of the year where everything gets festive! I’m especially excited about eating a good Thanksgiving meal! And don’t forget that events never slow down in Key Club! Especially due to Fall Rally, our biggest PTP Fundraiser in CNH! If you are interested, don’t forget to sign up and pay you $40 fee by November 3rd! Can’t wait to spend a day full of spirit and fun with all of y’all! So if you interested don’t forget to message on of the board members for any questions! Have a wonderful November!

KidsSpace Pumpkin Festival “The kids pumpkin patch festival was actually my first time volunteering at a huge event. I’ve dealt with children before but given the job to paint their faces was kinda nerve wracking since I have no artistic skill whatsoever. Especially since we had to work with only Q-tips, water based paint, and a reference sheet. After awhile, I started getting used to it and the parents actually loved my work. In fact, the lady in the front table kept sending more and more children to me. Despite sitting down on a small chair for five hours straight, I actually enjoyed it and it felt like I was only there for an hour. It was really fun especially getting to know the kids and being able to talk to them about halloween. And just seeing their faces light up after showing them what I had painted on their face was the best. The parents were really friendly and the children were so sweet and funny. And the adults who volunteered there were pretty nice as well. Overall my experience at this event was great. I would definitely do this again next year.”

Sergeo Munoz Member of the Month for October 2017
Congratulations to Sergeo Munoz for being recognized as member of the month for October! With the leaves changing alongside the season, Sergeo has remained an exceptionally active member in our club. Sergeo has attended the Aids Walk Los Angeles event where Key Club members throughout Region 7 gathered together to support the research in ending aids. Aside from Aids Walk, Sergeo returns each year to help at the Doris Place Festival. He especially enjoys helping at the elementary school where many memories were made and attended when he was younger. We hope to see Sergeo continue to help in his local community and show how fun service events are to the newer members of the club.

RECAP Although there were many different events hosted this month, we found that at least one of our members had time to attend at least one event. Many of the events we hosted this month were volunteer opportunities, but several of the events were also ways for us to create friendship bonds within our community. For example, several of us participated in our first ever spirit sessions which brought various people from the division together for a few hours of fun and cheers.
