Laser Tag! /July 26, 2018 /

Hey! This is your fellow division fundraiser coordinator Jessica Rivera here! I'd have to say that organizing this first fundraiser of the term was stressful but it would've been worse without the help of 3N's fundraiser coordinator Nicole Cho, 3N's Executive Assistant Michele Yi and my partner Sherryn Jose. I learned a lot from this fundraiser and despite it being hectic at first, it was a success! We raised $1,008 in total and half of that went towards our division ((: PLUS everyone who attended the event had a great time and I'm just happy that everyone had fun. On top of that, we exceeded our goal of 60 people!! Keep on supporting our division by attending events and fundraisers like this and I promise you it's worth it (; Expect more fun and awesome events in the future! -Jessica Rivera

Officer of the Month

For July 2018

Kathrina Ong

Congratulations to Kathrina Ong for being recognized as the July officer of the month! As the club president, she made sure that the club stayed active over the summer by finding numerous different volunteer opportunities to help out our community, such as volunteering at the L.A. Food Bank. Not only that, she has also been thinking of ideas to help improve the club and bring in more members. Currently she has been creating a website for the club and has been thinking about t-shirt designs that could possibly be sold at our school to raise money for the club. With this, we have seen Kathrina’s passion and dedication to this club, and we hope that she will continue serving the club to the best of her ability. As the new school year is starting soon, there is no doubt that the club will continue to stay active under her leadership.

-Hannah Kim, Vice President

Member of the Month

For July 2018

Asiful Asif

Congratulations to Asiful Asif for being chosen for the month of July! He has demonstrated a strong passion for Key Club even from the beginning through his countless service hours. In addition to participating in service events, Asiful also attends division fundraisers as well! For example, he went to the Jungle Zone joint division laser tag event, where we raised over three hundred dollars due to people like Asiful who participated in the fundraiser. We know that John Marshall Key Club can always count on Asiful to show up and dedicate one hundred percent of his time and energy into theevents that we hold each month. Therefore, we would like to congratulate Asiful for being chosen as the member of the month in July, for he has remained an active member of Key Club, even on our summer break! -Appollonia Cuneo Vice President

Recap

July was mostly events that involved not just our school, but our division as well. We still had events during the month of July. We were able to set up a successful fundraiser for our division and were able to profit, thanks to Jessica Rivera for planning the event. Our VP Appollonia Cuneo was able to run a successful Big Sunday event. Last but not least our school volunteered once again at the LA Food Bank.
