Journal Communications Inc. is a Franklin, Tenn.-based custom magazine media company founded in 1988 by an investor group that included Pulitzer Prize winner Alex Haley, author of Roots. More than 20 years, three offices and hundreds of magazines later, Journal’s corporate mission still reflects Alex’s motto: “Find the good – and praise it.” A company is only as good as its employees, and the Journal staff combines creativity and innovation with an eye for detail and a strong work ethic. We’re a team of engaged professionals who do everything in-house except printing. Our team includes accountants, salespeople, graphic designers, photographers, editors, writers, videographers, project managers, marketing, magazine distribution and a sophisticated Web department.
