1876 Fund supports pupils and projects

The 1876 Fund makes it possible to support exciting opportunities beyond the standard curriculum that can have an immediate and direct impact on our pupils’ education.

The Fund has enabled a team of pupils and staff to represent the School at the much-anticipated VEX World Robotics Championships in Dallas, Texas. Visit our website https:// www.johnlyon.org/john-lyonranks-as-top-uk-independentschool-robotics-team-at-worldchampionships/ for more details.

None of this would have been possible without the frequent, regular, and generous donations the Fund receives. In the last academic year, the Fund supported the development of a GreenPower car, which recently took part in its first ever race.

STEAM is a group of subjects that inspires our pupils and develops multi-disciplinary skills – and, thanks to the 1876 Fund, these exciting, engaging and immensely valuable projects take STEAM inspiration to a whole new level!

You can support the 1876 Fund through regular giving or with a single gift. Many of our donors commit to giving £18.76 a month – a small donation that will help enrich our pupils’ future learnings.

We are already considering projects for next year’s fundraising campaigns – and we will announce them at the beginning of the Autumn Term.
