The biggest change has to be what was once M5 and M6, which are now the impressive DT and STEAM labs. The fact that there are pupils 3D printing or laser cutting their designs while there are other pupils working on their robots or the Greenpower car is awesome!

8. How would you like to see John Lyon School develop in future years?

For me, one of the biggest parts of my schooling career was the trips, I saw places and took part in activities that I would never have gone to of my own accord. So, as we bounce back from COVID and travelling becomes a bit easier, it would be great to see more adventurous trips occurring.

9. If you had one piece of wisdom to share with fellow Lyonians, what would that be?

Embrace curiosity – try new things with an open mind! Curiosity fuels your learning and helps you develop a deeper understanding of your surroundings. It is important to balance academics with your well-rounded development – so engage in physical activities, pursue new hobbies and interests, and do not neglect your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. n
