downtown knoxville, tn
partners| johnna coztee + william harvell Relief micro proposes an exploration into the advantages and applications of additive manufacturing in housing. We saw this challenge as an opportunity to solve the homeless population issue within downtown knoxville while also developing a system to engage a number of marginalized “homeless” people : refugees, military, students, etc.
By
engaging the public on the ground level with a market and shops, the residents would be able to integrate back into society without the stain of being an other. And through material recycling and manipulation, the proposal was verified leed platinum and won 1st place by AIA in our integration semester as well 2nd place by Brewer Ingram
