Perfect for a Christmas venue with a difference Set on the doorstep of York Minster, this beautiful historic building offers an amazing venue for a Christmas visit within a traditional festive setting. Once home to the Lord Mayor of York, Barley Hall is decorated for the holiday season creating the perfect celebratory atmosphere for your guests. You will also have exclusive access to our From Hamlet to Hollywood exhibition containing beautiful costumes from popular films and television series such as Pride and Prejudice and Downton Abbey. Enjoy warm mince pies and delicious mulled wine whilst exploring all that this medieval townhouse has to offer.

IVY PACKAGE Available: Monday to Sunday from 7pm−11:00pm Perfect for an exclusive Christmas meal with a difference Upon arrivial, your guests are greeted with a goblet of warm mulled wine in the impressive surroundings of the Great Chamber. Your party will have exclusive access to the From Hamlet to Hollywood exhibition allowing you to get up close to the actual costumes worn in The Kings Speech, The Queen and The Duchess. A captivating festive menu will then await you in The Great Hall — a spectacular room boasting beautifully exposed timber frames and stunning high ceiling, transformed with candlelight and traditional Christmas decoration.
