New at Barley Hall! Plague Poverty and Prayer A Horrid History with Terry Deary
10.30 – 16.00 | Barley Hall Normal admission prices apply Award winning children’s author Terry Deary comes to Barley Hall with a brand new exhibition that explores life, death and all the gruesome bits in between, in York during the Middle Ages. Costumes and excerpts from the popular BBC TV show Horrible Histories will take centre stage alongside archaeological evidence from York’s medieval cemeteries and records of how the people of York were treated, cured, and killed by the medical practitioners of the time. Look out for special events with Terry Deary throughout the year and buy your gory goods at Barley Hall’s specially themed shop.
