WHO ARE YORK ARCHAEOLOGICAL TRUST? York Archaeological Trust is an independent charitable trust established in 1972 to help preserve York’s archaeological heritage. The Trust carries out a variety of archaeological excavations and research, and our attractions provide a way of making our archaeological findings accessible to the public. They also provide an income which enables the Trust to continue its work in preserving our rich past for future generations. Our volunteers are invaluable in helping us to achieve these aims. By joining the Trust you will be part of a volunteer team which offers a range of interaction that really helps us to enrich our visitors’ experience. In return we offer a varied range of rewarding opportunities that allow you to share existing skills and learn new ones, contribute to the work of the Trust, gain valuable experience, meet new people and, of course, have fun. York Archaeological Trust is a registered Charity in England & Wales (No. 509060) and Scotland (SCO42816).
