Featured Article This month’s Featured Article comes from Tiffany Sanders, the Social Director and Scrapbook Editor for Bloomfield Key Club. It’s about the Cosmic Bowling night Bloomfield had at the Brunswick Zone at Belleville. I hope you enjoy it! January 17, 2016 was the best night I've had in a long time. This was the night of Cosmic Bowling. At first, I was discourage to go because I am awful at bowling, but since I knew I was going to be with my friends and other Key Club members, I changed my mind. I'm glad I did. With midterms right around the corner, I was drowning in flashcards and textbooks. The only YouTube channel I watched was CrashCourse for a whole week. Needless to say, I was sick of studying. Cosmic Bowling came just in time. From 9pm to 12am Key Clubbers had unlimited games. Bowling shoes were included in the $20 price for the ticket. Every lane on one half of the bowling alley was packed with members. The lanes were dark and everyone was laughing and bowling with their friends and family. I brought my sister along and she said she loved it. Cosmic bowling was an exciting night. Everyone had an amazing time. This event was geared for people of any grade and age. As I am writing this article, I have learned another reason why I love Key Club. The events that we have can truly make someone's day. Events, like Cosmic Bowling, can bring an entire community together to simply enjoy themselves and forget about their worries. All the hard work put into a project, big or small, is worth it as long as it makes someone smile.

LTG Elections Recap This year’s LTG Elections took place on January 14th at Nutley High School. Delegates from schools all around the division came together to vote on who they believed would be best fit to run Division 18. Two Freshman from Bloomfield, Gaby and Marqus, as well as a Sophomore from Glen Ridge, Louiza, ran for the position. The schedule of the day was: Arrival, introduction, roll call, Introduction of the head table, nominations, and then each candidate gave a three minute speech, answered 5 minutes of questions, and then chose either an extra 2 minutes of either questions or speech. Afterwards, the member of the Elections Committee gave 2 additional questions.
LTG Elections Recap (cont.) After about 30 minutes, it was time for the delegates to officially vote on the next LTG. A few minutes of discussion amongst each other began, and then votes were officially casted, with Louzia from Glen Ridge being the official LTG Elect for Division 18. I would like to congratulate her, as well as Glen Ridge Key Club, as I am sure they are happy they have an LTG! I hope you all are as great to her as you were to me this past service year! At DCON, she will be officially inducted. Louiza will need your support, so make sure to register your club for DCON ASAP! Once again, congratulations to her!
