CC&Rs Vote! Ken Silveira, Bylaws and CC&Rs Committee
The long-term project to update the Association’s Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs) has reached a key milestone. On June 15, the Board authorized a membership vote to approve proposed updated (amended) CC&Rs. The current CC&RS 1991 are over 30 years old and are outdated and inconsistent with current California law. They also contain confusing unclear and/or unnecessary provisions. The proposed CC&Rs 2022 represent a complete restatement and updates to reflect recent changes to California law, current practices of the Association, and other changes. The vote package, including ballots, a copy of the proposed CC&Rs 2022, and Questions & Answers will be mailed in July. The Record Date was set as of June 17, 2022, meaning property owners on record as of June 17, will be eligible to vote and will receive the voting package. A Town Hall Forum has been scheduled on August 18th, 2022 to discuss the CC&Rs and answer questions. Please Vote! A membership vote of 66 2/3% is required to approve amended CC&Rs. The deadline for ballots to be received by the Inspector of Elections is 3:00pm September 18, 2022.
