Celebrating Creativity with Amy Applebaum What inspired you to start your company? After years of struggles to be a successful entrepreneur and eventually finding great success, I committed myself to “make it easier” for others. There was a time I would just go, go, go. While I was productive, I wasn’t enjoying success or the process. I wasn’t enjoying my life. My balance was off. So I started selfhypnosis and daily meditation. It changed my life and brought me to a place of reflection. A place where I could create my own state of being. It made such a difference in my life that I created a library of over 100 meditation downloads and apps for all the people struggling with the same challenge (www.AmyApplebaumAlbums.com). My epiphany? If you love it, you can share it. If you can share it, others can love it. So… just do it! Stop making excuses, stop waiting for the perfect moment and JUST DO IT. If you have fun doing it day to day, there can be no regrets. Love life everyone… each moment is so valuable. What does being creative mean to you? Creative means “letting go” – releasing what’s inside without fear of judgment. Creative means “going for it.” Editing and fine-tuning can happen later. When you’re releasing your creative power, you have to just GO FOR IT…ALL THE WAY.

PART 3
Celebrating Creativity with Amy Applebaum How Do You Handle Stress? MEDITATION!! Daily. Having been someone who battled with anxiety and stress, I had to find a way to doscover my “zen” place. Daily meditation got me there. As I mentioned before, self-hypnosis also helped change my life. Both brought me to a place of reflection. A place where I could create my own state of being. Oh… and yoga. Yoga helps me get grounded, maintain my state and release a load of energy. How do you help people? I just launched my most significant project yet, “The Ambitious Women’s Success Club.” It’s a coaching club dedicated to women and it’s freaking awesome. We are the only company offering On-Demand Business Coaching. And for the first time EVER a coaching platform doesn’t cost thousands of dollars. Women finally get access to the best coaches in the country at a price that makes sense for their growing business. This has taken me years to develop, and I’m very excited to make a difference in so many people’s lives. How does creativity support your life purpose? My life’s purpose is to enjoy life. Enjoy my family. Enjoy my day to day. And… make a difference. It’s that simple. So when I create a meditation, or coaching service, I create something “I love”, something “I need”. If I need and want it, maybe someone else does. It took me a long time to merge who I really am with what I do day to day. Creativity supported, nurtured and helped me solidify that effort. The Courage to Follow Your Calling BY KADENA TATE-SIMON http://www.KadenaTate.com
We each have a calling. It’s the drumbeat of your Soul, the pulsing energy that fires you up to pursue a particular path or direction. We gravitate towards our callings because it’s through living them that we unlock the experience of being our truest, most fulfilled selves. When we give ourselves permission to answer our callings, we give ourselves permission to live our richest, fullest lives. We call up the courage to surge forward into the unknown and try something we’ve never done before. Courage, then, is the deciding factor when it comes to following your calling. You probably already know this, but I’ll say it anyway−following your calling is meant to expand you, nourish you, and purify you. Answering your calling is a daily commitment to whatever it takes to get where you’re headed, to make the necessary sacrifices so you can reap the rewards. A calling is a holy task assigned to you

PART 4
The Courage to Follow Your Calling
Ask your friends and colleagues for places/people they can recommend to meet your needs. Do some online searching to cast your net wide. And if all else fails, you can always become a focal point for your tribe. Tell everyone you know what you’re up to and ask them to connect you to the like-minded people in their networks. Set your intention to find your tribe, and the Universe will deliver. These aren’t the only ways you can pursue your calling, but they’re certainly helpful to get started. You want to be relaxed and alert as you do them so you all your actions are fueled by love, not fear. As long as you stay mindful and intentional, you’ll find it easier to educate yourself on your calling, write down your mission statement/manifesto, start small & be consistent, and find your supportive tribe. Once you have these moving parts in place, answering your calling goes a whole lot smoother and life gets a whole lot easier.

8 Ways to Build Your Business Through Public Speaking BY KADENA TATE-SIMON
In my opinion, speaking is the fastest way to grow your coaching business or consulting practice. This is because you have the advantage of speaking to several people at one time. There is a synergy when we come together whether online or offline that is simply not present in one-to-one interactions.

Your Silence Will Not Protect You BY KADENA TATE-SIMON http://www.KadenaTate.com Editor's Note: As entrepreneurial women, it is imperative that we learn how to communicate with clarity, brevity and authority. Whether you are a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, author, coach, consultant, speaker, trainer or small business owner, communicating your truth is required. Whenever the voice of self-censure reveals itself, find comfort int he wisdom of Audre Lorde: “Next time, ask: what’s the worst that will happen? Then push yourself a little further than you dare. Once you start to speak, people will yell at you. They will interrupt you, put you down and suggest it’s personal. And the world won’t end … And the speaking will get easier and easier. And you will find you have fallen in love with your own vision, which you may never have realized you had. And you will lose some friends and lovers, and realize you don’t miss them. And new ones will find you and cherish you … And at last you’ll know with surpassing certainty that only one thing is more frightening than speaking your truth. And that is not speaking.” Visit Audre Lorde's website http://alp.org/about/audre MAY 2016 • 50 SHADES OF PAID | 18
