Hi-YA, Gahr Key Club! Can you believe it’s already August? Summer is flying by and school is just around the corner! Regardless, all of YOU have been so amazing and working so hard in participation! This past month, you’ve completely skyrocketed and TRIPLED our service goal! The summer drought of key club was turned around by all of YOU and I am so proud! Our board has worked so hard to ensure a variety of service projects the participate in and I’m beyond happy you’ve taken the time to participate and serve the community!

With the challenges the upcoming school year will bring, I know it’ll be so easy to lose motivation not knowing what to do in our club. However, I promise we’ll do our best to make dues easy/accessible, continue fun & engaging events, and make key club as memorable as possible regardless of being online! Thank you guys for being such an amazing club, please stay safe!

Kickin’ for service,

Gahr Key Club President

Kai Noah Jugo Historian Throughout the month of July, Gahr Key Club has created a service quiz with google forms. If a member wanted to earn more hours but had no ideas how to accomplish them, they were able to take our service quiz. This quiz asked questions such as

I participated in our cards service event! I wrote to nt liners and healthcare anking them for all they do. ng these difficult times it’s ortant to help others and others to stay positive. ed for their strength and I’m you can even if it’s a small ch. I am so happy to have e many more like this one to

“Do you want to help locally or internationally”, and “Do you want to craft or help virtually”. In the end, the service quiz was helpful for people like me who didn’t know about other opportunities besides service events.

Julia Saguin President In the Recipes for Hunger event, members were able to create pamphlets, books, or pages virtually or physically to demonstrate a recipe they know or have created! The recipe could be of a real dish or drink they’ve created OR a how-to of anything else in their life. I was able to make multiple, colorful recipe pages for making iced coffee, how to be green, how to take care of your skin, and three other recipes! This service event was really fun and therapeutic because it gave so much creativity for myself and it’s really flexible to express what you want to do! I was able to enjoy making different recipes I thought of myself for hours and really enjoy what I was doing. All of our submissions were sent to Students Rebuild to distribute as an international project to fight against children’s hunger! It was so fun overall and I know the service has impacted good!

Ayen Pasqua Treasurer Starting on July 20 and ending July 24, there was a division service week. It was a great way to earn service hours as well as help our community. We participated in events that taught us more about our environment to

giving a smile on someone’s face through a card. Math monday stood out specifically because we can sharpen our math skills and easily help children have access to education.

Ruth Rapuri Secretary july dcm was themed lilo and stitch and it was a super fun theme to tie into summer in my opinion! the icebreaker was a funny way to see everyone’s artistic skills while drawing out DLT members. we got to spend a bit

Of time completing the environmental awareness poster making which was a good way to bond with our fellow key clubbers, overall this dcm was a relaxing one which was great to attend :))

In the month of July Gahr Key Club participated in the Koala Ninja Service week. Throughout this week, we’ve done Origami Monday, Advisor Tuesday, Bookmark Wednesday, Research Thursday, and Leaflet Friday. On Monday We learned to make koala shaped origami to donate as ornaments for cranes for a cure. Tuesday we created cards for our Kiesnid Advisors to show appreciation. Wednesday we learned to make koala shaped bookmarks to donate with books. Thursday we picked a nature project to assist with data research. Friday we learned to make a leaflet in the shape of a leaf to promote key club. This service week felt like I was helping my community greatly and in a fun way!
