NOVEMBER

Richard Gahr High school - 11111 Artesia Blvd, Cerritos, CA 90703 D13S // Region 8 // CNH District

Hi-YA, Gahr Key Club! Happy November, Ninjas! What’s poppin’ it’s your historian speaking. I am so so SOOOOOOO happy with the member participation during the month of October. LIke can we just talk about that? We had old and new members attend not only club events, but division AND region events. Oh my goodness I am so proud of you guys. Here’s a mini recap. We’ve had so many service and social events throughout the entire last month. For example, Region Training Conference, our club’s Halloween Social, the Breast Cancer Awareness Poster Service Event. Our board has seen so many new and happy faces joining our club and I can’t wait to finally see you guys in person. Not only did we have service and social events, but we also had a fundraiser at CaliTea on October 31st. On that same day members throughout our division were able to go to the Halloween Trick-Or-Treat Drive Thru! Here, members could donate canned goods, donate money to UNICEF, buy division merch, AND pick up a bag full of candies. It was so refreshing to see people of my division alive and well.

Kai Noah Jugo / Historian In the month of October, many of our old and new members participated in the Breast Cancer Awareness Posters Service Event. For this service event, members would create breast cancer awareness posters and post it on the doors of neighbors or put them in their mailboxes. Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness month, our club was able to educate, give information about preventive measures, as well as how others can help those in need.

Kai Noah Jugo / Historian I am so thankful for the amount of members who went to this years, RTC! At this RTC members and officers were able to attend workshops dealing with officer positions, time management and stress, and leadership! Although a very long event staring at our screens, during our break we made paper pumpkins with facts about UNICEF on the back of them to donate! It was just such an amazing educational and fun event and I can’t wait to attend again next year.

Kai Noah Jugo / Historian During October, our club went to the joint Division 13 South and Division 13 North. At this DCM, we played a lot of games of Soulmate, receive division, district, and club updates, and find our way out of an escape room! It was just so fun and I got to meet members of Division 13 North. I saw a LOT of new members join and it just made my entire day.

Sarah Do / Member On October 30th I supported Gahr High School Key Club by going to Halloween Social! During the event we celebrated Spooky-season with fun little activities and games. As for activities, we all got the chance to put forth our creative minds and make our very own origami ghosts! We also played this one game called Soulmate where we were able to not only have fun but get to know each other too. In addition, we all had the ability to participate in a Lovebox, which is where you anonymously send out compliments to anyone of your choice in the meet! This was my favorite activity and was a great way for us to spread smiles across each other’s faces :). I really appreciate the club cabinet’s efforts in making sure members are happy and having fun. That being said, this social event really helped me form bonds with other club members and I found it extremely welcoming.
