Bu sektöre hizmet veren biz basın emekçileri mevcut şartlarda nasıl ayakta kalacağız? Tüm girdilerimiz - ki bunlar kâğıt ve matbaa kalıpları – ithal ve Euro ile fiyatlandırılıyorken! Ve değerli sektör oyuncuları bu durumda bizlere destek olmak şöyle dursun tam aksine çalışmaları durdurma yoluna gidiyorken… Bizler nasıl ayakta kalacağız? Şu sözümü lütfen dikkate alın ve bir yerlere yazın; bir süre sonra basın toplantılarına katılacak basın mensubu bulamayacaksınız!
Ne olur artık şu sektör basınına üvey evlat muamelesi yapmaktan vazgeçin! Hak ettiği önem ve saygıyı gösterin. Eğer ki bunu gereksiz görüyorsanız, o durumda hiçbir organizasyon ve çalışmada basınla iletişim yoluna gitmeyin. Ve şayet bu camianın doğru düzgün, işe yarar bir hizmet üretmesini istiyorsanız; istenen bedelleri can çıkaracak düzeylere indirmeyin! Mevcut şartlarda enerjisi kalmamış, işini mecburiyetten yapar durumdaki bu insanların artık pek bir şey üretemeyeceğini ve üretmek de istemeyeceğini bilerek hareket edin. Naçizane ufak bir hatırlatma! Tavsiye demiyorum; çünkü bu gerçeğin çok farkında olduğunuza ancak başka yoğunluklar nedeniyle üzerinde düşünmek için vaktiniz olmadığına inanarak…
Pek tabii bu sıkıntılı durumu anlayıp, ellerinden geldiğince basını yaşatmaya çalışan marka temsilcilerine değil sözüm!
Bizim kültürümüzde büyük küçüğü kollar; küçük serpilip geliştikçe büyüğe destek olur. Bu hayatın olması gereken bir döngüsü… Ki bizim kültürümüze de işlemiş bir döngü. Öyleyse iyi günde kötü günde el ele bu yokuş aşılacak. Aşılmalı!
Ancak genel durum bu minvalde!

Eğer hepimiz aynı yolun yolcusuysak; birbirimizin elinden tutmadan bu yolda ilerleyemeyeceksek, ufak tefek, büyük küçük bir şekilde bu sektöre katkı koyuyorsak, birbirimizi korumak, kollamak ve anlamak zorundayız.
It was 2nd of January of this year... 1 Euro = 4,52 TL... Today, it is 14th of September... 1 Euro = 7,38 TL (nobody knows what may happen tomorrow!). Increase rate has reached 63 percent! Yes 63 percent! How are we supposed to stand as press workers that serve this sector, in these conditions? When all our costs are - which are paper and printing patterns - imported and priced in Euro! And let alone supporting us, the esteemed players of the sector are opting to stopping their projects... How are we supposed to survive? Please carefully consider these words and write them down somewhere; soon, you won’t be able to find any press members that will attend your press meetings!
Please stop treating this sector’s press like an ugly duckling! Show it the importance and respect it deserves. If you think that it is unnecessary, then please don’t contact with the press for any organization or projects. And if you really want this community to provide proper and useful services, please don’t lower the demanded prices down to bare bones! Please act, knowing that these people who have no energy left and who are just doing their jobs out of necessity in the current conditions, won’t be able to and even want to produce anything tangible. Just a humble little reminder! I’m not saying a recommendation because I believe that you’re very much aware of this fact but don’t have the time to think about it too much due to your busy schedule in other issues...
Of course, these words are not for the representatives of certain brands that understand these troublesome times and try to sustain the press as much as they can!
In our culture, elders protect the young ones and as the young ones grow, they support the elders. This is a necessary cycle of life... And that cycle has been etched into our culture. Therefore, for better or worse, we shall climb this hill hand in hand. We shall climb it!
However, this is the general outlook of the situation!
For better days...
If we’re all on the same boat; if we can’t continue this journey without holding each other’s hands; if we’re contributing this sector no matter how small or large; we have to protect, watch over and understand each other.
“ÇOCUKLARIMIZIN GÜVENLİĞİNİ GÖZ ARDI ETMEK ANLAMI TAŞIYOR” 2018 - 2019 eğitim öğretim döneminin başlamasıyla beraber Türkiye'nin gündeminde okul servisleri ve öğrencilerin güvenliği var. Karayolu Trafik ve Yol Güvenliği Derneği (KTYG) Genel Başkan Yardımcısı Dr. Suat Sarı, okul servis araçlarına getirilen 3 noktalı emniyet kemeri, koltuk oturma kontrol sensörleri ve araç içi kamera sistemlerinin bir yıl ertelenmesinin çocukların güvenliğini adeta göz ardı etmek anlamı taşıdığını söyledi. Karayolu Trafik ve Yol Güvenliği Derneği (KTYG) Genel Başkan Yardımcısı Dr. Suat Sarı açıklamasında şu ifadelere yer verdi: "40 bin okul servis aracının olduğu ülkemizde, yeterli denetim sağlanamaması sebebi ile araçların birçoğu korsan olarak çalışmaktadır. İstanbul’da mevcut 5.250 okul ve 3 milyon öğrenci; 20 bin okul servisi tarafından taşınmaktadır. Bu araçların 8 bin adedi korsan hükmünde olup, sürücü ve araç bazında okul servisi standartları taşımamakta ve yol güvenliği için büyük risk taşımaktadırlar. Kreş servisleri araçlarında da aynı durum yaşanmaktadır. Belediyeler tarafından hazırlanan “Öğrenci ve personel servisi taşımacılığı yönergeleri” birçok yaptırımı taşısa da, gerek emniyet ve gerekse belediye zabıtasının bu kadar aracı denetlemesi matematik olarak mümkün değildir... Türkiye’de okul servislerinin GSM operatörlerinde olduğu gibi, LİSANSLI MODELE geçmesi gerekmektedir. Batı kriterlerindeki araç ve sürücü normlarına uygun firmaların yüksek teminatlar ile lisanslanması gerekmektedir. Bu durumda her ilde 5/10 firma-

nın yapacağı bu hizmetin, zabıta güçlerince denetimi daha rasyonel olacaktır. Diğer bir sorun, okulların çevrelerindeki kaldırım genişlikleri, trafik çizgileri ile yasak levhaları kesinlikle yeterli değildir. Okul servis araçlarına getirilen 3 noktalı emniyet kemeri, koltuk oturma kontrol sensörleri, araç içi kamera sistemlerinin bir yıl ertelenmesi, çocuklarımızın güvenliğini adeta göz ardı etmek anlamı taşıyor. Karayolu Trafik ve Yol Güvenliği Derneği olarak, ABD’de halen uygulanmakta olan, çocukların servis araçlarından okul önlerinde indikleri zaman ve okul sonrası bırakıldığı yerlerde, tepe lambalarının sürekli uyarı vermesi ve diğer araçlarında bu esnada durmalarını, çocuklarımızın trafik güvenliği için, uygulanması gereken bir öneri olarak sunmaktayız." With the start of the 2018- 2019 academic year, Turkey's headlines are full of issues about school busses and student safety. Road Traffic and Safety Association (KTYG) Deputy Chairman Dr. Suat Sarı has stated that delaying the recently introduced 3-point safety belt, seating control sensors and interior camera systems for a year almost means ignoring the safety of the children. In his statement, Road Traffic and Safety Association (KTYG) Deputy Chairman Dr. Suat Sarı said: "We have 40 thousand school busses in our country and the reason behind the lack of sufficient inspection is because most of the vehicles operate illegally. Currently, 5.250 schools and 3 million students in İstanbul, are carried by 20 thousand school busses. 8 thousand of these vehicles are illegal and neither their drivers nor the vehicles meet the school bus standards. These pose a major risk for road safety. The same thing happens with kindergarten busses as well.
While the "Student and employee bus transportation guidelines" prepared by the municipalities, consists of various sanctions; it is not mathematically possible for neither the police nor the municipal police forces to inspect so many vehicles... Just as the GSM operators, we need to switch school busses to the LICENSED MODEL in Turkey. Companies that operate with vehicles and drivers that comply with the conditions of the West, should be licensed at very high costs. In such a case, only 5 to 10 companies would provide this service in every province, making it more rational for the inspection of municipal police forces. Another problem is the lack of sidewalk widths, traffic lines and forbidden signs around schools. Delaying the recently introduced 3-point safety belt, seating control sensors and interior camera systems for a year almost means ignoring the safety of the children. Currently in USA, when students get out of school busses in front of the schools or when they are dropped off after school hours, the beacon lights of the busses always warn those around to ensure that other vehicles would stop. As Road Traffic and Safety Association, we would like to suggest this as a recommendation that should be applied for the Traffic safety of our children."

The team has won the Innovator of The Year 2018 award at the A’Design Award & Competition. One of the world's most prestigious design competitions, A’Design Award & Competition has previously awarded the Visigo, Citiport and Novociti Life models that have been designed at Anadolu Isuzu's R&D Centre and manufactured in Turkey. The award committee of the A’Design Award & Competition evaluated products, concepts and services from all around the world, in different categories and awarded Isuzu Visigo with its highest award “Platinum A’Design Award” and the Isuzu Novociti Life and Isuzu Citiport with “Gold A’Design Award”. The jury of the A’Design Award & Competition has surprised the Anadolu Isuzu team that went to receive their award from the committee and aside from the 3 important design awards, the jury has awarded the entire team with its “Innovator of the Year 2018” award. It Became the Centre of Attention for European Municipalities The 18 meters long SILEO S18 shines out with features like its eco-friendliness, silence, efficiency and zero-emissions. It can cover 400 km with just 4 hours of charge. The SILEO S18 hit the roads for the first time in Elazığ and on the first day of the fair, it has become the centre of attention for European municipalities.
Thanks to its technical expertise, the SILEO can transform its brake energy into electric energy to charge its own battery while driving (regenerative). Its 346-kWh battery capacity lets the vehicle fully charge in an average of 4 hours to continue offering service. The 18 meters long and single articulated New SILEO S18 can reach a maximum speed of 75 km/h. The use of an axle-mounted engine instead of an internal combustion engine provides a spacious and relaxing interior volume for the SILEO S18 that has a passenger capacity of about 150.

Blends into The Modern Urban Life
Bir jeneratör görevi gören çekiş motoru, frenleme enerjisini elektrik enerjisine dönüştürüyor ve sürüş esnasında bataryayı dinamik olarak şarj ediyor. Dizel araçlar genel koşullarda 100 kilometre başına 50 litre yakıt tüketirken, tüm yol koşulları dikkate alındığında körüklü 18m SILEO ortalama 1,1 kWh/km, yani yaklaşık 40 kuruşluk tüketim sergiliyor. Yolculuk esnasında rahatsız edici hiçbir motor gürültüsü olmayan SILEO, bu formuyla modern şehir hayatına da uyum sağlıyor.
Different materials have been used for the frame of the vehicle without increasing its weight compared to the first-generation vehicle. The new generation SILEO's design also now features much more modern lines. Compared to the first-generation electric bus, its improved battery system allows it to store enough energy on lighter batteries that can cover the same amount of range. The New SILEO aims to be the new transportation vehicle of modern cities and the entire R&D of the vehicle has been realized by Bozankaya engineers at Bozankaya R&D Centre. Thanks to its 100% low floor that allows quick passenger loading and unloading, the SILEO will help ensure eco-friendly zones in urban transportation with its zero emission. The new generation SILEO can regenerate up to 75 percent of its brake energy, which significantly improves its driving range. The traction engine acts like a generator and transforms the brake energy into electric energy. It dynamically charges the batteries on the go. While diesel vehicles consume 50 litres per 100 kilometres under general conditions; with all road conditions considered, the articulated 18m SILEO consumes 1,1 kWh/km on average, which translates to nearly 40 kuruş of consumption. The SILEO travels without any disturbing engine noises, which helps it blend into the modern urban life.

With the addition of the updates provided as part of the school bus legislation, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter allows safe journeys for students between their school and houses.

The company has won the Romanian Brasov Municipality's tender for 105 diesel busses. As part of the tender, Karsan will deliver a total of 105 busses in the 10, 12 and 18-meter segments to the Brasov Municipality. With the tender, Karsan made an important sale of 129 million TL. According to the tender that includes a 3-year maintenance agreement for the vehicles, Karsan will deliver 105 busses in 2018 and 2019. Karsan manufactures modern public transportation and commercial vehicles for the mobility needs of the era at its two factories in Bursa. With its bus deliveries and tenders in Romania, the company continues to increase its power in the region. Previously, Karsan has signed delivery agreements with the Braila and Sibiu Municipalities in Romania and most recently, the company has won Brasov Municipality's tender for 105 diesel busses. Following its high-volume deliveries to Bingöl, Afyonkarahisar and Sivas in the domestic market, the company now delivers 82 Isuzu Novociti Life models to ensure comfortable and safe journeys for the people of Hatay. Hatay will renew its transportation network until the end of October with the modern Isuzu midibusses. The city has received its first 23 vehicles via Serinyol Minibüsçüler Kooperatifi (Serinyol Minibus Owners Cooperative). In his statement at the delivery ceremony, Anadolu Isuzu Sales Director Yusuf Teoman said: "Today, we're here for the delivery ceremony of our Isuzu Novociti Life models that will ensure that the people of Hatay can make more comfortable and safer journeys. Jest Electric Begins Mass Production! Karsan Commercial Affairs Deputy General Manager Muzaffer Arpacıoğlu has also announced that the Karsan Jest Electric will begin mass production right after its exhibition at the Hannover Fair and said: “As part of our recently started road show, Karsan Jest Electric began to receive orders from various European countries before even beginning its mass production. Transportation Solution of the Future: Jest Electric While the BMW electric engine operating at the heart of the Jest Electric constantly produces 170 HP of power and 290 Nm of torque, it is assisted by a single ratio gearbox. The Jest Electric can be purchased with BMW's 33 and 66 kW-hour batteries. While the model offers a range of up to 165 km, it can be charged in 8 hours using traditional alternative current charging units and 1,2 hours at fast charging stations. FPT’nin EGR (Egzoz gazı geriçevirimi) sistemine gerek duymadan Euro 6C emisyon normlarını karşılayabilen motor teknolojisi, yüksek enerji verimliliği ile düşük yakıt tüketimi sağlanmasını mümkün kılıyor. Developed by Anadolu Isuzu's R&D engineers and manufactured at the company's Turkish factory, the Isuzu Novociti Life has received a 25-unit order from Poland. The vehicles that are planned for production at the end of 2018, will be introduced to the people of Poland in the first half of 2019. With its 8-m. length, the Novociti Life establishes a new segment between the 9.5 m. long Citibus model and 7,5 m. long Novociti model in Anadolu Isuzu's bus product line-up. The model continues to also draw the attention of the entire world. Right after its Bingöl and Afyonkarahisar deliveries in the domestic market, orders began to arrive from abroad for the Novociti Life. Polish Lodz Municipality has also made an order for 25 units with a ceremony on August 9. With 16 distributors, all across the world and operational in over 30 countries, the Anadolu Isuzu is on its way to become a global bus brand. The company will manufacture the New Isuzu Novociti Life at the last quarter of 2018 and deliver it to the people of Poland in the first quarter of 2019. According to Anadolu Isuzu's 2-years-old Polish distributor Busimport Pl Sp.z.o.o.'s agreement, a vehicle fleet of 25 units will serve the Lodz Municipality's public transportation needs.

Ease of Service and Maintenance with Its Smart Design
The new Isuzu Novociti Life has come up as a solution to different market needs with its low floor. Instead of a large and medium-size bus, the Novociti Life aims for narrow city streets with its small-size bus concept. Thanks to its low floor structure, it also helps ensure greater involvement of the handicapped and elderly population in social life.
The New Isuzu Novociti Life has been carefully designed to provide not just passenger comfort but also ensure maintenance services at minimal timelines. The Novociti Life's engine compartment has been moved to its back to create a low-floor platform. While the rear-mounted engine and powertrain makes it easier to maintain and repair the transmission and engine at certain conditions, the vehicle's rear hatch design has also been designed to maximize serviceability. The maintenance hatches allow access to the engine compartment from three sides. This not only makes it easier to maintain but also reduces the response times.
FPT's NEF4 model engine that has been position at the back of the Novociti Life to suit the model's low floor design and it produces 186 horse power and 680 nm. of torque. FPT's engine technology ensures Euro 6C emission norms without requiring the EGR (exhaust gas recycling) system. This technology also helps achieve high energy efficiency with low fuel consumption. The Novociti Life is offered with both ZF manual transmission and Allison automatic transmission options to both domestic and foreign markets. With a total of 60 passenger capacity, the spacious Novociti Life features a special passenger glass design that ensures effective use of sunlight inside the vehicle, while allowing even wheelchair passengers to easily use the side windows. This allows wheelchair passengers to comfortably see the exterior and take advantage of Novociti Life's human-centric smart design.

The Isuzu Novociti Life has received the "Good Design Award" at the Design Turkey competition, Turkey's most prestigious design organization that was held at the end of 2017 as part of Turquality. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter school bus is ready for the 2018-2019 academic year. The vehicle meets all the new standards with its windows that allow observation of the vehicle's passenger compartment from outside, exterior camera system, on-board camera and tracking system that can record for 30 days, passenger seats with 3-point adjustable safety belts, sensor seat system that warns the driver with audible and visual warnings in the event of a faulty sensor or the presence of a passenger after the end of the journey, as well as its front and rear air conditioning system.

Mercedes-Benz Türk’ün Her Kızımız Bir Yıldız Projesi kapsamında “Yıldız Kızlar” İstanbul’da buluştu.
“Star Girls” have met in İstanbul as part of Mercedes-Benz Türk’s Every Girl Is a Star Project.
Mercedes-Benz Türk’ün, Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği ile birlikte toplumda kadının her alanda hak ettiği güce kavuşması, kadınlara sosyal ve ekonomik hayatta fırsat eşitliği tanınması hedefiyle 2004 yılında hayata geçirdiği “Her Kızımız Bir Yıldız” projesi 14 yıldır kesintisiz devam ediyor. 17 ilde 200 kızı destekleyerek başlayan proje, 2018 yılında 60 ilde 1.200’ü aşkın öğrenciyi kapsıyor.
Proje kapsamında düzenlenen basın buluşmasına ise Yıldız Kızlar’ın yanı sıra Mercedes-Benz Türk İcra Kurulu Başkanı Süer Sülün, ÇYDD Genel Başkanı Prof. Dr. Aysel Çelikel, Mercedes-Benz Türk yönetici ve bayi sahipleri ile ÇYDD yetkilileri katıldılar. Basın toplantısında Mercedes-Benz Türk Hoşdere ve Aksaray Fabrikaları’nda çalışan iki eski Her Kızımız Bir Yıldız bursiyeri katılımcılara hikâyelerini anlattılar. Her ili temsilen bir Yıldız Kız da etkinlikte konuşma yaparak, davetlilerle aldıkları bursun hayatlarına etkisini paylaştı.
Her Kızımız Bir Yıldız projesi kapsamında desteklenen kız öğrencilerden bir grup, geleneksel bir etkinlik olan yaz buluşması için bu yıl da bir hafta boyunca İstanbul’da ağırlanıyor. Her yıl farklı illerden davet edilen öğrenciler bu yıl Afyon, Ankara, Balıkesir, Konya ve Trabzon’dan geldiler. İstanbul’da bulundukları sürede çeşitli müzeleri ziyaret eden Yıldız Kızlar, İstanbul Boğazı’nda tekne turuna da çıkarak şehrin Boğaz hattındaki tarihi yapılarını görme ve tanıma fırsatını da buldular. Program çerçevesinde Mercedes-Benz Türk Hoşdere Otobüs Fabrikası’nı da ziyaret eden Yıldız Kızlar, üretim süreçlerini yakından görme, kendileri gibi eskiden bursiyer olan ve bugün fabrikada görev yapan çalışanlar ile tanışma şansını da yakaladılar.

Mercedes-Benz Türk has begun its "Every Girl Is a Star" project in 2004 in collaboration with The Association for Supporting Contemporary Life to ensure that women can achieve their rightful place in society and provide women with equal opportunities in social and economic life. The project began by supporting 200 girls in 17 provinces and in 2018, it now provides for over 1.200 students in 60 provinces. A group of female students that were supported as part of Every Girl Is a Star project, have been hosted in İstanbul once again this year for a week, to attend the traditionalized summer meeting. Each year, students from different provinces are invited to the event and for this year, they came from Afyon, Ankara, Balıkesir, Konya and Trabzon. During their stay in İstanbul, Star Girls have visited various museums. They took a boat tour in the Bosphorus and had a chance to see and learn about the historic structures on the Bosphorus strait. As part of the program, Star Girls have also visited Mercedes-Benz Türk Hoşdere Bus Factory and they had a chance to take a closer look at production processes and meet employees of the factory that used to be scholarship holders just like them. In addition to the Star Girls, Mercedes-Benz Türk CEO Süer Sülün, ÇYDD President Prof. Dr. Aysel Çelikel, Mercedes-Benz Türk's executives and dealership owners as well as ÇYDD officials have attended the press meeting organized for the event. Two previous, Every Girl Is a Star scholarship holders that currently work at Mercedes-Benz Türk Hoşdere and Aksaray Factories, have told their stories to the guests at the press meeting. A Star Girl also made a speech at the event as a representative of each province, and shared the impact of the scholarship in their lives.

COMMERCIAL VEHICLE EXPORTS INCREASE BY 7 PERCENT
2018 yılı Ocak-Ağustos döneminde üretimin yüzde 83’ünü oluşturan 857 bin 479 adet taşıt ihraç edildi. 2018 yılı Ocak-Ağustos döneminde gerçekleşen taşıt aracı ihracatı, 2017 yılı aynı dönemine göre yüzde 4 oranında azaldı. Bu dönemde ticari araç ihracatı yüzde 7 oranında arttı.
In 2018 January-August period, 857 thousand 479 vehicles which corresponds to 83 percent of the total production, have been exported. Vehicle exports has decreased by 4 percent in the 2018 January-August term compared to the same period of 2017. During this period, commercial vehicle exports have increased by 7 percent.
