Mercedes-Benz Türk attended the Transist 2018 Fair held in İstanbul Congress Centre between 08-10th of November, with its Conecto Solo and Intouro bus models. MICHELIN’S NEW COACH TIRE X COACH Z HITS TURKISH ROADS One of the world’s largest tire manufacturers Michelin has developed its new 295/80 R 22.5 ‘MICHELIN X ® Coach ™ Z’ tire model to offer more comfortable and safer drive for bus operators, fleet managers and long-distance passengers and the model has just been launched in Turkey. TEMSA CONTINUES TO IMPROVE ITS SALES IN ENGLAND Temsa took its place at the EuroBus EXPO 2018 Fair that was held in England’s Birmingham city. The event is considered one of the most important organizations in the European bus market. TEMSA has introduced its MD9 and right-hand-drive

HD vehicles at the fair and even managed to sell 12 new vehicles as part of the event. TEMSA’s sales in the English market have thus increased by over 40 percent compared to last year, even before the end of this year. TEMSA’s Autonomous Bus Prepares to Hit the Roads In 2022 As TEMSA has launched its first electric-bus MD9 electriCITY as a series, it has introduced the autonomous member of its MD9 product line-up, the first electric and autonomous concept vehicle MD9 electriCITY for the first time at the NVidia Europe GTC event held in Munich. TEMSA plans on making the vehicle ready for mass production in 2022. ZF SERVICES TÜRK ADDS STRENGTH WITH MAPAR As it celebrates the 30th anniversary of its foundation this year, ZF Services Türk has signed an authorized service agreement with one of the biggest players of the sector MAPAR. Amman Municipality Once Again Chooses Otokar Busses As a Koç Group company Otokar continues to serve public transportation with its busses in 50 countries, including Turkey. On its 55th anniversary in the sector, Otokar is highly acclaimed in countries that use its vehicles. The brand has received yet another order for 35 busses from Jordan’s capital Amman. KARSAN DELIVERS 75 JEST TO BURSA! The domestic manufacturer Karsan offers modern solutions to cities with its public transportation systems and recently, it has delivered 75 of its Jest model to Bursa. 25 of the Karsan Jest vehicles have been delivered to Burulaş and the remaining 50 were delivered to the Private Public Bus users that operate within Burulaş. Anadolu Isuzu’nun yeni markası “AOS” ilk sağdan direksiyonlu otobüsü AOS Visigo HyPer’ı Birmingham’da düzenlenen Euro Bus Expo’da sergiledi.

Anadolu Isuzu’nun yeni markası AOS, ilk etapta Rusya, İngiltere, Amerika ve Latin Amerika ülkelerinde satışa sunulacak. Bu yeni marka, Anadolu Grubu’nun “Anadolu’yu dünyaya, dünyayı Anadolu’ya bağlayan yıldız” olma vizyonu, grubun 1965 yılından bu yana otomotiv sanayindeki deneyimi ve sanayici kimliğinin birleşmesi sonucu ortaya çıktı. Uzun yıllar kendi tasarım yetenekleri ve Türk mühendislerinin çabaları sayesinde, yüksek yerlilik oranı ile Türkiye’de ürettiği midibüs ve otobüslerle adından söz ettiren Anadolu Isuzu, yeni markası ile farklı coğrafyalarda daha da aktif olmaya hazırlanıyor.

In its first stage, Anadolu Isuzu's new brand AOS will be sold in Russia, England, America and Latin American countries. This new brand is the result of Anadolu Group's combination of its vision of becoming "The star that connects Anatolia to the world and the world to Anatolia" with its experience in the automotive industry since 1965 as well as its industrialist identity. Anadolu Isuzu has manufactured highly domestic midibusses and busses in Turkey for many years thanks to its own design capabilities and the efforts of its Turkish engineers. The company now prepares to be much more active in different regions with its new brand.

AOS’un İlk Sağdan Direksiyonlu Aracı; Visigo Hyper AOS markasının ilk sağdan direksiyonlu aracı olan Visigo HyPer, 320 BG’lik güçlü ve yeni motoruyla sağdan direksiyonlu araç pazarına giriş yapıyor. The AOS Visigo HyPer is launched with a full automatic ZF Ecolife transmission that is fully compatible with its powerful engine. Thanks to this transmission, the vehicle can properly put down its power on the road while offering both efficiency and high levels of traction for its user.

The New AOS Visigo HyPer was exclusively designed as a right-hand drive for the English market. It comes standard with the automatic luggage compartment doors on its left, rear combi (heater and refrigerator), 5+3 camera monitor system and USB charging ports for all passenger seats. Thanks to its modern and alluring exterior design, the Visigo received the A’Design Platinum Award in 2018. Hızlı şarj özelliği de mevcut olan araç bu sayede 9 dakikalık bir şarjla 90 kilometre gidebiliyor. Ar-Ge çalışmaları devam eden araçta hedef bugün 230 kilometre olan menzili 350 kilometreye ulaştırmak.

“Sürücüsüz Versiyonu İçin de Yoğun Olarak Çalışıyoruz” Fuarda sergilenen MD9 model araçla ilgili de değerlendirmelerde bulunan Hasan Yıldırım “Faaliyet gösterdiğimiz tüm pazarlarda, en fazla ilgi gören araçlarımız arasında yer alan MD9 da insan odaklı tasarımı ve çok yönlü kullanımıyla öne çıkıyor. 9 metrelik bu aracımızın elektrikli versiyonu da şu anda seri üretime hazır. Diğer yandan bu aracımızın sürücüsüz versiyonu için de yoğun olarak çalışıyoruz. İlk konsept aracımızı da geçtiğimiz günlerde Münih’te sergiledik. Hedefimiz bu aracı 2022 yılında yollara çıkarmak.” ifadelerini kullandı. TEMSA’nın standında sergilenen diğer bir model olan LD C ise, şehirlerarası yolcu taşımacılığında kullanılabilirken aynı zamanda ayakta yolcu taşıma onayına da sahip. Hem kısa hem de uzun uzun mesafeli yolcu taşımacılığı için tasarlanan ve düşük yakıt tüketimiyle öne çıkan araç; 12 metre uzunluk ve 44 yolcu koltuğundan, 13 metre uzunluk ve 63 koltuğa kadar farklı koltuk opsiyonları sunabiliyor.

The other model displayed at the TEMSA stand was the LD C that can be used for interurban passenger transportation. The model is also approved for carrying passengers on foot. Designed for both short and long-distance passenger transportation, the vehicle shines out with its low fuel consumption; it offers different seating options with up to 44 passenger seats on its 12-meter model and up to 63 passenger seats on its 13-meter model.

VOLKSWAGEN CADDY RECEIVES A NEW ENGINE

One of the most popular models among Volkswagen's Commercial Vehicle line-up, Caddy has received a new engine option. Following a 2.0-litre TDI Diesel and a 1.0-litre TSI Petrol engine option, the Volkswagen Caddy is now introduced with its 1.4-litre TSI 125 PS DSG version. The 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine produces 125 PS at 5000-6000 rpm with 220 Nm of torque between a very wide range from 1500 to 3500 rpm. With the most powerful engine of its class, the Volkswagen Caddy produces 125 horsepower and reaches 0 to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds. The petrol engine offers a combined fuel consumption of 6 litres in 100 kilometres and stands out with its economy. The Caddy 1.4 TSI 125 PS model is the only vehicle in its class to have the 7-speed DSG transmission that offers a comfortable and high-performance drive. The Comfortline equipment level offered at the launch of the Caddy 1.4-litre TSI 125 PS DSG model features 16" aluminium alloy wheels, 5" touch screen, automatic air conditioning and cruise control as standard.

Lazer Darbeleriyle Çevredeki Nesneleri Tespit Edebiliyor • TEMSA’nın ilk sürücüsüz aracı, 9 metrelik elektrikli MD9 electriCITY modeli üzerinden geliştirildi. Araç çevredeki her türlü nesnenin algılanabilmesi için LIDAR (Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging), radarlar ve kameralarla donatıldı. • Araçta, her iki yan ve üst kısımda birer adet olmak üzere toplam 3 adet LIDAR bulunuyor. Research Began In 2017 Autonomous vehicle technology, which is the most important step in TEMSA’s technological development strategy, has been heavily under research at the company’s facilities in Adana for the last 2 years. As a result of these research, the concept version of the first domestic electric autonomous vehicle has been developed with TÜBİTAK’s support and collaboration of Galatasaray University and Infotech company. The concept was unveiled at the NVidia Europe GTC event held at Germany’s Munich city between 9-11th of October.

It Can Detect Nearby Objects with Laser Pulses •TEMSA’s first autonomous vehicle was developed over the 9-meter electric MD9 electriCITY model. The vehicle was equipped with LIDAR (Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging), radars and cameras to detect all types of objects around the vehicle. • It has a total of 3 LIDARs, two on both sides and one on the top. Thanks to the LIDAR system, it can send laser pulses to measure the distance from nearby objects and surfaces. • In addition to that, the vehicle is also equipped with an infrared stereo camera that helps detect the other vehicles and humans in the vicinity. Two additional cameras on the vehicle help ensure the presence of objects in the environment. Additionally, the radar on the vehicle is used to detect and calculate the vehicles and their distance from the bus.

It Will Pull Up to A Bus Stop and Pick-Up Passengers • The goal for the autonomous vehicle technology is to ensure that the vehicle can stay in its lane, pull up to a bus stop, pick-up passengers and then leave the bus stop. • For the first phase of the 3-phase project, the goal is to ensure that the vehicle can warn the driver against possible collisions. • For the second phase; the vehicle will reduce its speed when it detects a possible collision; if it calculates that a collision is unavoidable at this speed, it will activate the brakes. • For the third phase, it will be able to pull-up to a bus stop, pick-up passengers and track lanes all on its own. • NVidia PX2 computer system is used for the analysis of data and deep learning for the autonomous system.

Turkey’s domestic manufacturer Karsan makes new domestic deliveries with each day. The company has most recently delivered an additional 99 Jest+ units as part of Mardin’s “Public Transportation System Vehicle Renewal Project”. The vehicles have been delivered with a ceremony and 25 of the vehicles began operation at the Midyat County and the remaining 74 began service with Mardin Urban Minibus Cooperative. We are conducting very serious operations on electric-powered and autonomous vehicles for that end."

"We Are Among the Few Electric Bus Manufacturers" Hasan Yıldırım has added that as TEMSA, they allocate nearly 5 percent of their turnover to R&D each year and that this number is way above the Turkish average. He continued: "As a result of these projects, we're ready to mass produce both our 9-meters long MD9 Electricity and the 12-meters long Avenue Electron model vehicles. Otokar continues with exports in full swing. After winning the tender of Jordan's capital Amman's Municipality for 100 busses in March, Otokar has received a new bus order for an additional 35 units. This year, Otokar has signed the largest bus exports agreement made by a Turkish brand at a single order, with the Bucharest Municipality. It has also received important orders from Jordan and Poland, and it will deliver Amman Municipality's order of 35 new busses in Spring 2019. As a Koç Group company Otokar continues to facilitate public transportation with its busses in 50 countries, including Turkey. On its 55th anniversary in the sector, Otokar is highly acclaimed in countries that use its vehicles. The brand has received yet another order for 35 busses from Jordan's capital Amman. Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç has stated that Otokar manufactures its user-centric busses in accordance with their demands and expectations. He has indicated they are very happy that these vehicles have been appreciated and that they have received additional new orders from the same regions. He said: "We continue to contribute to the national economy with the busses we export to 50 countries. This year, we've signed important exports deals, especially in Europe. The largest of these deals were the order of Bucharest Municipality for 400 units, which was the largest order received by a Turkish bus brand on a single deal. We've received our second largest order from Amman. We've delivered our 100-vehicle order to Amman in the previous term. The fact that we have received an additional order for 35 units, is an importance reference that indicates we are manufacturing the right products and that we're offering the best service. I wish that the agreement will bring luck and prosperity for the people of Amman."

Following its delivery of 92 vehicles to Romania’s IASI Municipality, Anadolu Isuzu has now delivered 38 Isuzu Citiports to Sibiu Municipality on the scheduled date. In 2017, Anadolu Isuzu has reached the highest turnover of its 23 years of exports and so far, it has delivered a total of 234 vehicles to its largest export market Romania.

While Arrive Bus & Coach has sold 12 new vehicles as part of the organization, the company's sales to the English market has increased by 40 percent compared to last year. Last year, the company has sold a total of 54 vehicles in the English market while this year, it has sold 75 busses to the market in the first 10 months.

2018 yılı Ocak-Ekim döneminde 732 bin 142 adedi otomobil olmak üzere, toplam üretimin yüzde 85’ini oluşturan 1 milyon 99 bin 323 adet taşıt ihraç edildi. Bu dönemde ticari araç ihracatı yüzde 10 oranında arttı.
