Discovering Papa…. It is hard to believe that over a year ago, I was walking the Camino de Santiago. I am sorry if you’re tired of hearing about this wonderful adventure, but to be honest, there isn’t a day that doesn’t go by, I don’t think of it. You might wonder, why? Well I can tell you, it isn’t because of the pain I experienced. Not the food, even though the food was great. The people, almost! I have made friends that will last a life time. Perhaps it was all the history or the great cathedrals, they were stunning. Well let me give you a verse and explain… And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” Mark 1:11 I discovered the heart of God for us. I am loved, and his beloved. Nothing ever changes that. Absolutely nothing. Oh ya, he is also proud to call me his son. If God had a fridge, our picture would be on it beside the art work we drew as kids. Friends, today He is proud to call you His son/ daughter, in whom he is WELL PLEASED. So, over the month of June, as we discover more about Remarkable living, hang your head high and ponder how much your Papa God loves you that much. Today You are Loved, as His Son/Daughter of God! Like that old song, “I am his beloved and he is mine, and His banner over me is LOVE!” May his banner over you reign over your heart this June! Loved by the Father, PBill & Kathy Guess if it was my mom or dad that I got my sensitivity from? When I was growing up, I was told that I was loved every day. “Te amo, mi hijo” which means “I love you, my son. I remember just cringing and saying how that was gross but really inside, it was what I needed to hear. I was encouraged each day through words. I was encouraged each day that the other person has feelings too. I was encouraged each day that love is what we need. I was encouraged each day by seeing and hearing my dad’s sensitive/big heart towards others. In 1 John 3:1 it says, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” Many of us don’t know what it’s like to have an earthly father’s love. I’m sorry about that. I’m thankful that I do. It helped shape who I am now and it wasn’t always easy. But I want to encourage you that the love from my earthly father is amazing though my heavenly Father’s love is greater! You also have that love from Him that says, “I love you, my child” which says that you are His. He looks at you with love which means He looks at everyone with the same love. We are to learn how to live in His love, His sensitivity towards others, His big heart. My father’s love is something that I have inside me and I also observed and now live. Same with our Father in heaven. Thankful for a dad and God that encourage me to be a man with a big heart. Pretty sensitive, Tony Mejia

We’ve just finished the CHILDREN OF THE DAY dvd study series, and now we have embarked on a new study from Matthew 6:5-14. How do we know God the FATHER? Where is the KINGDOM Jesus was talking about? How can we truly FORGIVE a person? God says He will provide, so why do feel that I am LACKING resources in my life? All good questions! Through a time of bible reading, discussion and prayer, you will find some of your answers, maybe ask a few questions you didn’t know you had, and discover a SISTERHOOD you never knew was available to you.

Since 2003
STEP TEN : PERSERVERANCE We continue to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it. “So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall.” 1 Corinthians 10-12 Recovery is a lifelong process. There will be times when we grow weary and want to throw in the towel. We will experience pain, fear, and a host of other emotions. We will win some battles but lose others in the war to achieve wholeness. We may get discouraged at times when we can’t see any progress, even though we have been working hard. But if we persevere through it all, we can maintain the ground we have gained. The apostle Paul used three illustrations to teach about perseverance. He wrote to Timothy: “Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. And as Christ’s soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in the affairs of this life, for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army. Follow the Lord’s rules for doing His work, just as an athlete either follows the rules or is disqualified and wins no prize. Hard working farmers are the first to enjoy the fruit of their labor. Think about what I am saying. The Lord will give you understanding in all these things” (2 Timothy 2:3-7). How many times do we look in the mirror each day? Suppose we looked in the mirror and found that we had mustard smeared around our mouth. Wouldn’t we immediately wash our face, wash and clean up the problem? In the same way, we need to routinely look at ourselves in our “Spiritual mirror,” the Bible. Then if anything is wrong, we can take the proper steps to fix it. James uses a similar illustration to show how God’s Word should be like a spiritual mirror in our life. He said, “And remember, it is a message to obey, not just to listen to. If you don’t obey, you are only fooling yourself. For if you just listen and don’t obey, it is like looking at your face in a mirror but doing nothing to improve your appearance. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you keep looking steadily into God’s perfect law, the law that sets you free and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it” (James 1: 22-25). Remember faith without works is dead.!!! COME AND JOIN US THURSDAY EVENINGS @ 7:00 P.M..
