Fan or Follower…. Over the next month or so, we are going to investigate the theme around this: Am I a fan or follower of Jesus Christ? Do I attend Church because it is the right thing or do I come to worship with God’s people? Do I read the Bible for learning purposes or allow God to speak to me? How about this one, is God someone that exists and I stay away as far as I can or do I have a very personal intimate relationship with God? Lots to think about really. We say we can be a follower on Twitter and not tweet. It is possible to have friends on Facebook but are they really interested in me? I can call myself a Christian and not even know God’s heart. Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian anymore than going to Harvey’s makes you a hamburger. It costs us something to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Jesus said…“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24 This passage that Jesus spoke is much more difficult to live than to read. Giving our agenda up to follow His, is no easy task. But the opportunity is huge for all of us. It is my prayer that we would be encouraged to search our hearts in the next season of messages. Are we a fan or follower? PB and Kathy
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV) I want to rejoice in all things that God has done in our Church. I think about many of you who have patiently waited on God for miracles, answers to prayers and you saw the fruitfulness of it in your life. I rejoice with those who are still waiting because our God is greater! As we rejoice in our waiting we are showing and feeling the great joy that things will work out. It might not be what we think it will look like but it will be the best God has for you. I rejoice that our Church continues to grow with people who genuinely care about each other. As I’m writing this, I’m praying. We care for so much and those cares can be taxing, can cause you to be anxious and can be lifted off your shoulders. (Philippians 4:6,7) May our hearts and mind be filled with peace as we cast our cares to the God who cares. I’m thankful for the good times, the middle and the hardship. Declaring them all filled with God moments. All of it is temporary but God is eternal! I’m thankful for what God has done, what He is doing and what He will do but most of all, I’m thankful for who God is. Happy Thanksgiving, Tony Mejia

HOPE A Ministry of self-examination based on the eight principles from the Beatitudes. Step 2 :"We came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity." Step Two is often referred to as "The Hope Step". In coming to believe that a Power greater than ourselves can restore us to sanity, we will remember what it was like to live sanely and have the faith to hope that sanity can return. "What is faith?" the Bible asks. Hebrews 11: 1 "It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. The Bible also tells us that the key to this hope is in the nature of the God we look to. We are told that "anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that there is a God and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him" (Hebrews 11: 6). Without Hope we are miserable. Hope is the driving force behind all recovery. If we had no Hope, there would be no possibility of recovery. Understanding who Jesus is gives each of us a Hope that can transcend even our deepest despair. Jesus' resurrection forms the basis of our Hope because in it God demonstrated His power over death. We may have learned a long time ago that hoping only brings disappointment. Our hopes were dashed. The promises we believed were broken. We were left feeling like fools for ever hoping in the first place. But perhaps we were devastated because we put our hope in the wrong place. Turning our life over to God means placing our Hope and confidence in Him instead of people, who will disappoint us. When we place all of our hope and trust in other people, it's like expecting a tree to flourish in a barren desert. People will disappoint us and are unable to satisfy our deepest needs. Trusting God changes everything. In John 4: 14 Jesus says "the water I give becomes a perpetual spring within them, giving them eternal life." When our hope is in God and our life is in His care, we are sustained when we otherwise would be devastated.

WE BELIEVE the Bible is true, inspired by the Holy Spirit WE BELIEVE there is one God, the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. WE BELIEVE in the virgin birth. That Jesus is the only Savior of the world. He lived, died, rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and He is coming back. WE BELIEVE that we can’t do it on our own. We need God and each other to live a healthy and happy life. We are here to love, accept and encourage those who God brings into our lives our church, and to show everyone God’s unconditional and everlasting love. WE BELIEVE in holy living. Everyday we aim make good and right choices that lead to a life pleasing to God. Jesus is our perfect example of loving God, yourself and your neighbor. WE BELIEVE that Jesus is Lord. Baptism is a symbol of our faith in Jesus Christ and demonstrates our desire to live a life pleasing to God in our words, deeds and actions.
