Introduction You hear your mom say they’re done! You run in the kitchen you see a pan of cookies. You smell the the cookies they smell like chocolatey goodness. You take a bite of one yum you say. Have you heard of sugar cookies? If you have not, flip the page. You will learn about a few types of cookies. And I will answer all of your questions.


Types of Cookies Candy Cane Cookie They are really bumpy. This type of cookie is hard and crunchy. There are candy cane bits on them also they are red and white and they are shaped like a candy cane. Gingerbread Cookies They have different shapes and sizes. They are frosted sometimes. They are usually made during christmas time by people. They are people some times they are brown. Chocolate Chip Cookies They have chocolate chips in them. It is a circle and can have nuts. Also they may have big chocolate chips or small chocolate chips. Sugar Cookies They don't have have any or is a cool shape. They are circles they have mostly sugar and they are bash a little. They are soft not hard.


Utensils There are different utensils you need to bake. First you need a bowl. You need a bowl because you put the ingredients you need in a bowl. Another is you put the bowl in the mixer. The second thing is pans. Pans are for when you're talking cookies out of the oven. The type of pan you need is rectangular and flat. The third thing you need is spoons. You need spoons to scoop out the dough and put it on the pan. Another reason is you need a big spoon to stir. The fourth thing you need is measuring cups. You need measuring cups to have the right amount of ingredients. It goes up from smallest to biggest for the cups. The fifth thing you need is a oven. You need an oven to bake the cookies.


What​ Ingredients ​

The list is going to be about the ingredients you mostly need to bake cookies. 1#​ ​ Sugar ​ adds sweetness and can help dough rise. It can also make dough tender (soft) and help the baked good to brown. 2#​ ​ Flour​ provides the structure in bake goods.Think of it as the building material,like wood or bricks. 3#​ ​ Salt ​ is used to enhance the flavor 4# ​ Butter​ helps make bake good more tender and moist,and adds flavor 5# ​ Eggs ​ adds flavor and color,and add air when beaten, to help make batter fluffier.

6# ​ Baking soda or baking powder ​ helps dough to expand,or rise


Steps Step 1: Put all the ingredients together. So the butter, eggs, sugar, and flour. you put them all together in a bowl. Step 2: Mixing you get the bowl of ingredients and you put it on the mixer up to 2, 3, or 4. Step 3: Putting on the pan. The dough is hard so use spoons to scoop the dough on the pan. Step 4: Eating. Don’t start eating right after it comes out of the oven because they are very hot. also because they will be very soft and brake in your hand.


Safety First thing you need to do is wash your hands so germs don’t get on ingredients and food. Second, you need an apron. You need an apron because if some cookies fall on you won't feel it. Third, you need oven mitts. You need oven mitts because when you're talking cookies out of the oven you hold on to the pan with mitts. Fourth thing you need is things for cleaning up. When you're cleaning up you should have a wipe or a small broom if there is crums on the table.

Mixer:​ A mixer is a machine you can use to mix stuff together. Some people don't use a mixer they use a bowl and a spoon to mix. And you can turn the mixer up to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. Utensils:​ Utensils are spoons, bowls,pans,forks,and other tools you use to cook and bake.
