Introduction Fluffy fur. Bright eyes. Long whiskers. “Meow.” Sitting on my lap I feel its soft fur. Meowing and meowing, I can see that she at. I get up and she gets up too. I walk over to where the treats are. I get one out of the container and put it on the floor so she can eat it. She eats it in 2 seconds. Then she finds a small ball and starts kicking at it. Have you ever wanted to know any interesting things about cats? Well if you do, then this is the perfect book for you. In this book I will be talking about How to take care of a cat, Surprising things about cats, What a cat likes to eat and many more! Turn the page to learn all about cats.
How to Take Care of a Cat Giving it food and water While taking care of a cat you want to give it food and water. You want to give it cat food not food like ice cream and cake. If you want to give it treats you can but you should only give it 8 or less a day. Giving It Love The next thing you want to do is give it love. When giving it love you want to pet it a lot. When you’re sitting down the cat might want to sit on your lap. When you give it lots of love it might purr. Cleaning It’s Litter Box Another thing you want to do while taking care of a cat is cleaning the it’s litter box . I know this doesn’t sound appealing to you but it’s something you have to do. When cleaning it’s litter box you want to scoop it’s business with a scooper and refill it with the litter. Taking the Cat to the Vet The last thing you want to do is to take your cat to the vet. When taking it to the vet on the way there it’s normal for the cat to meow a lot. It meows because it knows where it’s going and the cats not happy about it. When you get there the cat might be meowing, standing up when it’s not supposed to or even try to jump off the desk, but eventually the cat will stop.
What a Cat Likes to Eat Cat Food Of course as you may know a cat likes to eat regular store bought cat food. You can get different types of cat food like chicken soup,turkey,tuna, some that help if your cat is sick. Turkey Cats also like turkey. Sometimes the cat will try to steal your turkey. So when it’s Thanksgiving your cat might jump on the table and try to eat the turkey. But it’s okay to give turkey to your cat but only a little bit, so you don’t want to give it turkey every single day. Chicken Another thing cats like to eat is chicken. The chicken has lots of protein and is pretty healthy, so it’s good for your cat. But you don’t want to give it chicken 2047. If you’re eating chicken nuggets or any kind of chicken don’t be alarmed if your cat tries to get on your seat with you or tries to eat your chicken. If you really don’t want your cat to do this just simply tap the cat on the head and say no, but if your cat isn’t trained well you might just want to pick it up. Tuna Another thing cats like to eat is tuna. If you didn’t know tuna is a type of fish that cats love to eat. It’s fine to give your cat tuna once in a while, but again not 2047. When you’re getting ready to give your cat tuna they might try to get it before you actually want to give them the tuna, but if you don’t want your cat to do this just pick it up and say NO! Things Cats Don’t Like to Eat Something a cat doesn’t like to eat is cheese crackers. They don’t like to eat cheese crackers because it’s not meat or cat food and that’s basically only what cats like to eat. Cats also don’t like coffee. They don’t like it because the only drinks they like are milk and water. Another thing cats don’t like to eat is chocolate. If you hand it out to them they might eat it but if they do they could get really sick and maybe even die. It’s basically like a poison to cats.
Surprising Things About Cats Its Purr Calms People Down One surprising thing about cats is that their purr calms people down. The cat’s purr calms you down because it’s just a soothing sound and it makes you feel good. So if you're stressed about something you can just go over to your cat and he/she will start purring and probably after 23 mins you will start feeling better. Cats Hate the Smell of Oranges Another surprising thing about cats is that they hate the smell of oranges. They hate the smell of oranges because the smell is too sweet and juicy and cats don’t like the smell of sweet and juicy things. Oranges are probably the #1 thing cats hate the smell of.
Cats Like to Sleep Another surprising thing about cats is that they like to sleep. They like to sleep because their tired from playing a lot or walking around. So if you’re going to get a cat you probably want to get it a bed. A cat can get 1416 hours of sleep a day.
Different types of cats Tiger Cats One type of cat that is pretty cool is a tiger cat. A tiger cat is in the same family as a tiger. Tiger cats don’t look like tigers and they don’t really behave like tigers they just act like regular cats. They don’t have to come in the same colors as tigers either , they come in gray, orange, white, black and tan. Tabby Cats Another cool type of cat is a tabby cat. Tabby cats are a really common type of cat. Tabby cats only come in bright or dark orange, basicly any kind of orange. Some of them can be skinny, some can be fat and some can be smaller than others. Cats With No Fur Another type of cat that some people don’t really adore is a cat with no fur. Cats with no fur can either be born that way, there could have been a lot of bugs in the cats fur or maybe the owner just wanted the cat to have no fur. Some people like them and some people don’t.
Cat Toys String One toy that cats find fun is a string. All you have to do if you want your cat to play with a string is you can just find a string somewhere in your house. It can be any kind of string except wire string. When you give the cat the string he/she will start eyeing the string then eventually start trying to grab it. Scratching Post Another cat toy is a scratching post. A scratching post is something if your cat has sharp nails. The cat will go up to it and start needing the scratching post. So if you get a cat you should get it a scratching post. A scratching post isn’t just something that a cat can need its nails on. Some scratching posts have some things on it that the cat can play with. Some have a ball hanging from a string, some have a platform the cat can sit on and some have toy mice on it. Toy Mice A cat also likes to play with toy mice. Cats like to chase around real mice so the cat sometimes thinks that the mouse is real, So he/she will start kicking it around and playing with it. The toy mice can come in different sizes and colors. Some can come in gray, green, tan, blue or any kind of color. They can also be fat, skinny, big or little. Something under a blanket Another thing cats like to play with is something under a blanket. There’s a sheet around this thing that moves and the thing that moves helps the stick turn around and the cats thinks that the stick is a mouse. For some cats it might take a while for the cat to go after it, but some other cats will just go right after it.

Purr A sound a cat makes when it’s comfortable or feels loved. Scooper A little shovel that you use for picking up your cat’s business. Vet A hospital for animals.
