president’s corner Wa$$up newcomers!! Welcome to your first newsletter! This month has been super fun and exciting because of a lot of reasons. I met so many of you guys at our first social, which I thought was an overall fun time. It’s so exciting seeing how comfortable everyone has been with the club and how active you’ve all gotten! I was always excited for this term, but now I’m even MORE excited because I’ve gotten familiar with a lot of you guys and hope to see you more often. We have a lot more heading your way so I hope you all stick around with us because you won’t regret it! Janie Mach, President
editor’s note HEY FV MANATEES! My apologies again for releasing this newsletter a little late, but we all know the school grind don’t stop :(( Hope everyone is doing well and hang on tight because Fall Rally is coming up soon and it’s gonna get a lil spirited :)) Katy Nguyen, Corresponding Secretary

HISTORIAN As historian, my main job is to take pictures and videos at all of the service events, socials, and other activities we have. With the videos, I also create monthly recap videos that showcase where we volunteered and what we did during the past month. My main goal for this year is to make everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and be able to break out of their shell.

tips
- Don’t procrastinate on your work!!! Editing
videos can be very tedious, so spreading out the workload and managing your time can make things a lot easier and increase the quality of the video as well!

- Don’t be afraid to speak up and ask questions or if you need any help - Enjoy yourself! Sometimes it might
seem like there are too many things piling on your plate, and you just feel overwhelmed and stressed. Your mental health is important too!
snap!
- Stay organized - Reach out and talk to other members. Socializing with others is a
great way to make new friends and create new memories that will last a lifetime.
PUBLICIST As publicist, my main job is to design banners for events, fundraisers, and other important announcements as well as manage our club’s social media! I try to make banners appealing so members will be interested in attending, yet also cute and simple to match our clubs aesthetic. An major goal of mine for my term this year is to not only better my graphic designing skills, but to also be a comfortable person to have a conversation with!!
tips
- always be open to your members and communicate in times of need - promote fun events and activities we partake in to attract more members - keep designs sweet and simple!
- it takes time to improve your graphic abilities, keep practicing and don’t give up!
