What’s up Key Clubbers? My name is Deven Kimoto, your 2017-18 Key Club President. The position has been handed down from Madison Rayno who has done an awesome job serving for the last 2 years, and I hope to do the same. Although some members will leave and others will join with the new school year, Key Club is one big family where we are all connected. We must all welcome the upcoming freshmen into this club-- our family. To the seniors, farewell and best of luck in your future! You will all be missed! To the Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen, I hope to see you all next year as we continue to bee impactful members of Key Club! -Deven Kimoto President

Grove Farm Old Time Games

On Tuesdays throughout April, several Key Clubbers met to make paper leis. We met from 2:30 to 4:00 after school, and worked together to trace, cut, sort, and arrange the flowers for the leis. It was a very tedious task, because each flower had to be individually drawn and cut. Throughout all of the work days, over 1,000 flowers needed to be made for the leis and over fifteen different members contributed in different ways to make the leis, from tracing all the flowers, to bagging the individual leis. In the end, it was a very rewarding experience that required a lot of patience, but a well-worth effort to brighten their day with a lei. -Keahne Aliga Friday, April 21st was the KCC Spring Gala. The event is hosted at KCC and money raised went to support the college. The Gala featured many different types of food where people can try a little bit of everything. Key Club assisted primarily by collecting dishes on trays and other cleaning jobs. I was surprised to see many other volunteers from the community working there as well. The event took place from 4pm to 9pm, and it was very hard work for those five hours. However, I’m glad that we could help in that fun event to raise money for the college. -Cheyann Fujii KCC Gala & Lei Making
