Happy Kiwanis Family Month NYCKI! November is Kiwanis Family Month. This means that we take the added time to reach out to other members of the Kiwanis Family. Check to see if your local K-Kids or Key Club needs a chaperone for an event, or a few extra hands at their next project. Does your Kiwanis club need help with their next fundraiser? Think about what being a member of the K-Family means to you and use these memories to inspire you to do more. If you had the opportunity to attend New York Speaking, you had the chance to listen to Kiwanis Governor Joe Aiello speak about the meaning of family. You also had the chance to meet, learn, and listen to the Key Club Governor. But that’s not all! November is also Prematurity Month, supporting the March of Dimes! What are you doing to celebrate and to save premature babies? Finally, November is the month of Thanksgiving. This means that it is the month to thank those who have been a positive influence in your life. Thank those who guided you, who provided for you and those moments where you had your breath taken away.

Be Aware
November is Prematurity Month!
You can log your random acts of kindness a fun jar. For each act of kindness you complete, write it down on a post-it and stuff it in your jar. You can also do this collectively as a club, just like LIU Post is doing!
November 17th is World Prematurity Day! 1 in 9 babies are born premature each day in our country. This rate is higher than most other developed countries. More than 1 million of them die before their first birthday. How can your club spread awareness and make a difference?
Member of the Month Spotlight – September! Each month, the clubs report a Member of the Month through the Monthly Report Forms. These members have gone “above and beyond” and shown extreme dedicate to service, leadership and fellowship within their clubs.
