THE BOOK OF CODES
1 19:54 Government Technology Attic The light shines through the glass pane, landing on the smoking broken body of an R unit. Books littered the floor and fallen shelves lined the room. But one book is missing. A very important book, that isn’t meant to exist. A man steps into the room and the gun drops onto the ground. And her eyes flutter open and look over to him. "Mini," he whispers under his breath. The man runs towards her, books crunching beneath his feet. "What happened to you?!" He whispers in shock. She tries to speak but instead she shuts down. 07:05 Apartment 1197 Mini reboots and makes sure everything is connected. The mail materialises on the table and she sees the man from last night room reaching for the letters. A round of grunts are set off as he trips over a chair leg and falls onto the floor. “Tim!” She squeals in delight and in horror. “Are you ok?” She says with a smile across her face. He eyes twinkle with laughter, almost like she forgot what had happened yesterday. Like she forgot that something very valuable had been stolen. Like she forgot that she got shot. She helps Tim up and he goes over to the letters. His smile falls off of his face and he picks up and opens the letter on top.

Mini’s brain started formulating a plan. A plan to get that book back. If not, the entire world they had built, created, lived in, would be gone. Earth would never be the same. The humans with installed I units, will be reprogrammed to become an army. And if Roger figured out how to recalibrate R units, the world is doomed. R units have selfdestruct installed into them. They could be used as weapons to destroy the world. “We have to get it back, or destroy it Tim!” She was filled with determination. And she was on her way to get it off Roger before Tim could say a word.
3 16:04 Unknown Location (hideout of Roger) “Where is the book?” The click of the gun echoes around the cold hard empty room. The only source of light was a small torch lying on the floor, so they couldn’t quite see her face. “Which book?” The man responds calmly. “The book you stole when you shot me. When you left me to burn out in the attic!” The calm look slid of the man’s face like wet soap out of your hands. “R97,” She gripped the gun tighter. The man tried again. “Dominique. How nice of you to drop by,” the sarcasm was so thick, you could almost pick it up. “Give me the book,” the man took the book out. But he didn’t give it to her. He just opened it. And he picked up the torch and shone it at the book. At a black page. At a page with R codes. And her eyes flicked to a certain number.
She stumbled back. “It’s your code,” But she just started shaking. “No! It’s not! That’s not my shutdown code!” She whispered. But he read it out anyway. And his eyes widened when he realised what she meant by her last sentence.
3 When he realised he just made a big mistake. Because after he read out those numbers, those selfdestruct numbers, the entire building exploded. Found on Mr Roger Jansons grave
