Making Socks for Plano Children’s Hospital
This month’s featured project is making socks for the Plano Children’s Hospital. Students took the time to paint socks with puff paint. These socks will later be delivered to Plano Children’s Hospital, and will be delivered to the children that the hospital is serving.

What is the project?
What is the need? Plano Children’s Hospital is in need of non-slip socks for the children to wear. Often part of the therapy for these children is to walk up and down the hall with their nurses, so these socks will help them be able to walk on the slick floors of the hospital. These socks will also help those children who are wheel chair bound be able to move around more easily.
History of Plano Children’s Hospital: The Plano Children’s Hospital was created in 1913 by a team of nurses led by May Forster Smith. Since their beginnings, Plano Children’s Hospital has been giving families a second chance.
