Map Reading

Navigation Introduction: A school friend is coming over to your house for the first time and needs directions. She can get to school but does not know the rest of the way. Ask her if she ever uses a navigation system !

Task: Draw 2 maps, one of your house and another of your school.

OR: Introduction: Compasses, maps, and GPS (global positioning system) are meant to help us find our destinations.

Task: 1- Using Google earth, find your house, school or any famous place in your city and bring a printed copy to class. 2- Make a power point presentation to show your classmates how to browse Google websites.

A Memorable Day

A Memorable School Day Introduction: While some students may enjoy school more than others, all students have certainly had memorable days at school. Whether the day was positive (passing a test, being rewarded for serving society) or negative (a friend moving away, a favorite teacher retiring), it stands out.

Task: Write a paragraph about your most memorable school day, including exactly what happened and why the day was so unforgettable for you

A Memorable National Day Introduction: Every nation in modern human society has a national day. The day represents the sense of unity and feelings of belonging to one land and country.

Task: Show your patriotism by doing one of the following tasks with your group:  Make a power point presentation showing Saudi Arabia yesterday and today  In simple words, express your love to your country and have them written on T-shirts, cups, banners, head bands or any object you like.
