COWBOY POETRY BY H. FRED LIESE Fred Liese makes his home at the edge of Black Coulee near Turner, Montana. Raised on the Big Flat, he finds plenty of “inspiration” in the people and things around him every day, and Fred’s brand of entertainment has earned him a large following throughout the US and Canada.
Diary of a Wolf
It happened to me yesterday They gave me no respect I was shot and tranquilized There’s a collar on my neck.
A cousin lives up north of here He’s in Sarah Palin’s state. Why must they make an issue? A lady’s what he ate.
I now go out for the evening They know with great detail There’s no freedom for the wolf I’d rather be in jail.
They call some food endangered They should just be quiet To me, it is variety It’s balance to my diet.
Invading on my privacy I find it rather rude They monitor my diet They know my every mood.
I’d like to see what humans eat I’d make them all confess Read them like a bar code Track them by GPS.
It’s cruel and unusual This collar’s for detection I must report to PETA They’ll give me their protection.
I’d better get on out of here One more deed, I’ll share it The kids were sure delighted Was that a black footed ferret?
I’ll clear some misconceptions They just don’t have a hunch We went out as a family Here’s what we had for lunch.
There’s nothing to the rumor They said, I headed south It’s alleged, I had a sage grouse That was hanging from my mouth.
Our gums and teeth are healthy When sheep, we came across Wool is left between our fangs That’s nature’s dental floss.
I am not a cleric Please remove the collar Take a monetary view Humans save a dollar.
That’s when we found a herd of elk In a meadow, they were milling Then we found a rancher’s calf That’s nutritious, warm and filling.
Donate to my freedom. Free ecology! Society Halting Invasion Technology
Junior scored it yesterday To some, this isn’t pleasant, He gobbled up a nest of eggs He ate the mama pheasant. Junior, he is rather weird He snacked upon the fowl It’s now his aspiration He wants a spotted owl.

I’LL TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING
Planning for disposition of your property after you are gone is a privilege and a responsibility. Often your family’s financial security and future happiness may be dependent upon how efficiently your assets are transferred. Efficiently disposing of your property by means of a will requires the selection of a competent and trustworthy executor. Too many people delegate and accept this responsibility based on friendship or family. When deciding whom to choose as the executor of an estate, it is important to understand the duties of this position to find a qualified person for the task. Here is a partial list of these duties: • Get the will probated. This usually involves having an attorney petition the court to “proveâ€? the will. Once this is completed, the executor is empowered to administer the estate. • Collect or “marshalâ€? the assets, so they can be distributed according to the terms of the will. • Make sure the assets are valued. A valuation is needed for estate tax purposes as the tax is levied upon fair market value at the date of death of the decedent or the alternate valuation date six months later. This is also done for the benefit of the heirs as they take the assets at this value as their basis for later sale purposes. • Cancel credit card and other accounts, and inform various persons of the death. • Make an accounting of and manage the estate’s assets, which will often require professional help. • Pay the estate’s debts. • Distribute the estate’s assets. • File the necessary tax returns and pay the respective state and federal taxes. These tasks demand financial responsibility, investment expertise, business aptitude, knowledge of accounting, as well as integrity and resourcefulness. An inexperienced executor not equal to the task could make some costly mistakes and destroy an estate plan. Executors are also held accountable as fiduciaries, a provision that will hopefully never need to be addressed. The selection of a trusted family member or friend may prove sufficient in smaller, less complicated estates. Yet, with larger, more elaborate estates with existing estate plans, the presence of a professional can prove invaluable. A professional executor can provide experience and expertise to efficiently complete the estate settlement process. Of course, the consultation of an attorney or other professional is recommended to help decide which option is best for a particular situation. Canine Parvovirus
Another unvaccinated puppy died unnecessarily at the clinic recently because of parvo. Parvovirus is a highly contagious virus that attacks the intestines and causes sloughing of the inner layers of the intestine. The most common symptoms are vomiting and diarrhea. The virus is found in heavy concentration in an infected dog’s stool. The disease can also be incubated in a dog that does not show observable symptoms and spread to others. Infected animals dehydrate rapidly.
Hospitalization and early vigorous treatment can save lives but there is no guarantee that your pet will survive parvo. Puppies need to be vaccinated when weaned (usually 68 weeks), and at 8-10 weeks and 12-16 weeks of age. One vaccination is not enough because it is an immunity building process.

. . . and stronger than ever--but not without a little pain and suffering along the way. If you are a baby boomer or Gen Xer, you probably recall fondly your parents sifting through the Sunday paper clipping coupons. By the time Generation X grew up to run their own households, the coupon section was probably the first to hit the trash. In fact, while 1999 spiked as the highest level of coupon redemption with 4.6 billion, 2008 reflected a heavy downturn with only 2.6 billion coupons redeemed, according to experts. The “Great Recession” of 2009 changed all that. Coupon redemption grew 27% in that year alone as Americans searched desparately for ways to cut costs. NCH Marketing Services claimed it was the “second highest year-over-year growth ever recorded.” And as the economy improves, the future still looks bright for the humble coupon, mainly due to the slow recovery process of this particular recession. High numbers of folks are still out of work and Americans are still unsure about their personal financial situations. Real opportunities exist to drive sales through coupon distribution and redemption. So, as a business, how do you tap into the power of the coupon? A little research is in order. Keep these things in mind before you implement your next coupon GO ONLINE TODAY promotion. and subscribe to our Who’s Clipping? According to FREE marketing e-newsletter at www.Kimmel-Kreations.com. Nielsen: Get useful tips like the ones in • All ethnic groups use coupons, “Marketing Toolbox” plus more great ideas every week! but 3/4 of the average “clipper” is white. • Households residing in comfortable country and affluent suburban spreads are more likely to be heavy coupon users. • Non-users are more apt to be those households in rural areas or urban core areas. • The 80/20 Rule applies here. 83% of units purchased with manufacturer coupons in 2009 were done so by just 22% of households. What are coupon clippers buying? Groceries. But don’t discount the fact that 1/3 of all coupons redeemed in 2009 were NOT for groceries. And of that 1/3, variety/discount stores, pharmacies and convience stores are in the upper portion. What is the new means of coupon delivery? The newspaper still reigns supreme as the primary method of distribution and redemption. But Internet redemption has skyrocketed, rising 263% in 2009 (Nielsen). In fact, some predict that in the next 30-60 days millions of small businesses will adopt new ways of using mobile coupons and integrate mobile technology into their local marketing programs. Direct Mail follows suit at 69% growth, and In-ad coupons show a growth of 27%. The bottom line is this. If you have spent time and resources developing a high quality marketing strategy, you are poised to take advantage of this trend. If you haven’t developed your marketing strategy yet, include coupons in the marketing plan you’re going to begin work on right now! Know your target audience and know your message to them. Then see where it fits in to the overall message above. Give your customer a little incentive to do business with you by offering a coupon, whether you deliver them a hard copy or direct to their email or smart phone. Are you unsure of how to market your business? Do you run out of time to market because you’re too busy running your business? Kimmel Kreations, LLC offers customized “Marketing Modules” to lead you through the marketing maze. We are the solution you need. 406.379.2377
