Fourth suicide in less than 15 days on Bandra-Worli Sea Link By Zuber Ansari

here seems to be no end to suicides occurring off the BandraWorli Sea Link (BWSL) as another 40-year-old man jumped to his death on Monday morning from the Worli side of the bridge. In a mere span of two weeks, this was the fourth suicide on the Sea Link. The deceased has been identified as Vikram Shirish Vasudev, residence of Prabhadevi locality in south Central. OKYO: Pledging to enhance bilateral cooperation, Japan on Monday promised US $35 billion assistance to India for the next five years towards funding next generation infrastructure projects, smart cities, rejuvenation of Ganga river and introduction of bullet trains. August 19: Parel resident Lalchand Rathod, 65, committed suicide by jumping off the same bridge. Rathod was suffering from depression. August 28: 33-year-old Chintan Shah, a resident of Kandivli committed suicide by jumping into the sea from the Bandra-Worli sea link. Shah’s body was found two day later on Juhu beach. August 30: BMC employee Vikas Jhore, aged 34, ended his life after jumping off the Bandra Worli sea link.

Bandra Police station sources, said his body was still untraceable due to high tide and persistent rain and have registered an Accidental Death Report in this case and are in the process of completing the investigation.
