hile the printing of school text-books has already been messed up, the teachers training program organised by the State Board seems to be running into the same problem. Last week, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) had organized a teachers training program at Parle Tilak Vidyalaya, Vile Parle, on the newly changed Hindi syllabus. Though the program was organized to acquaint teachers with the new syllabus, the teachers claim that
the trainers themselves were confused. If that wasn’t enough, the trainers were also unable to pronounce several Hindi words correctly, and the session ended with just a discussion of the paper pattern, rather than an actual training. A teacher who attended the training program and did not wished to be named, said “The trainers who had been sent by the State Board to train us, were unable to communicate in correct Hindi and pronounce the words appropriately.
