JP deputy leader in the Lok Sabha, Gopinath Munde, yesterday accused NCP president Sharad Pawar of amending the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) rules to allow himself to contest the MCA election for the post of president even after serving four terms. Speaking to newspersons here, he said that his election form was rejected on the basis of a club member raising objection to his (Munde) permanent address. He said that as per section 6 of MCA bye-laws, only the contesting candidates can raise such objec-

tions. The senior BJP leader therefore wanted to know how Shinghvi, an MCA club member from Vile Parle, was allowed to raise objection to his candidature. Munde accused Pawar of treating MCA as his personal fiefdom and of not allowing anyone to get natural justice in the MCA. n Tuesday night, two unidentified men entered into the house of a jewelry store owner in Ghatkopar, and made away with gold ornaments worth Rs.48 lakh.
