WHAT’S HAPPENING

FAITH released

Pastor Prudencio Quinsay:

What don’t people know about you?

Table of Contents

What Do You ow you answer those three questions will determine what happens in your life, business, family, and what will happen in this church. Why is this the case? Because these three questions form for us what faith is all about. “Without faith, it is impossible to please God.”(Hebrews 11:6) It is also the way the Holy Spirit operates in our life. When we look at this story we see that this woman’s condition was desperate. She had been hemorrhaging blood for twelve years, rendering her body weak. Her condition, by Levitical standards, rendered her unclean, isolating her from normal interaction. She also had suffered greatly in her quest for a remedy. Not only that, but she was financially bankrupt because her money had been spent on doctors all the while her condition only grew worse. Sick, suffering, broke and excluded from society made her desperate but she heard about Jesus. As Jesus approached, her plan, although she was “unclean”, was to press her way through the crowd, come up behind Him and touch His clothes. She believed that having done all this she would be healed. The moment she touched Jesus’ clothes, power came out from Him and she was healed. It’s at this point we see Jesus doing a very strange thing. He stops everything and asks, “Who touched my clothes?”. Keep in mind He was in a crowd and many people were touching him. Secondly, thousands had been healed through the ministry of Jesus, one more person being healed would not warrant Jesus’ stopping everything. I believe Jesus stopped everything because he wanted to teach his disciples and us about faith. There is a difference between physical touch and the touch

H

of faith. Two people can be in church at the same time, one is there to fulfill a religious obligation and receives nothing, but another comes believing God will touch them in a profound way and leave changed by God’s power. We also see Jesus affirming the faith of this woman, he said, “Daughter your faith has healed you”. Jesus stopped to give this woman an opportunity to testify of what God did for her. We can overcome the devil by the word of our testimony John writes in Revelation 12:11. Your testimony can inspire other people’s faith to be released. Jesus wanted her to know, not only that she was healed but it was never coming

SEE? Do you see it growing and flourishing and seeing yourself involved and used by God? How do you see others? God taught me a powerful lesson on seeing. When I was a young pastor in Wilmington, California, there was a fellow that lived right behind us, Sam. He was a “good guy”, but unsaved, who enjoyed boozing it up. I was praying for him, when God confronted me, “You don’t believe that he can get saved, do you?” I stopped for a moment and I said, “You’re right. I can’t believe it – he’s going to be that way until he dies.” The Lord rebuked me. He said, “Son, I want you to see him saved. I want you to see what he would be like saved. And every time you pray

“Your testimony can inspire other people’s faith to be released.”

back. He said, “Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” (verse 34) This story challenges us and asks us three questions. The first is “What do you see?” The woman in the story could have seen Jesus as just another rabbi, another disappointment to add to the list of disappointments she already faced. Instead she saw Jesus as her healer. How do you see Jesus? Is he just a religious figure to you or is He your life, worthy of your total allegiance and affection? “What do you see?” is an important question that can be applied to many areas of our life. What do you see about our church? Is it a place of revival?

for him, I want you to see him in your mind, saved.” I began to thank God for Sam’s salvation and attempted to imagine him saved. We left Wilmington and came to Hawaii in 1976. It was about a year or two later we happened to go back to Wilmington to visit and speak at the church on a Sunday night. Sam and his family were there. Although Sam didn’t respond to the altar call, he did come up to me after the service and said, “Would you mind stopping by my house before you leave?” We drove over to his house and as we stood in the living room he said, “You know, I’ve wanted to do this for a long time, but I wanted to do it with you.

SAY? Would you lead me to Jesus?” I stood there, shocked. We stood in his living room and he prayed the sinner’s prayer with me. What do you see? Do you see your family and friends saved? That brings me to the next question we are confronted with from the story of the woman with the issue of blood. “What do you say?”. The woman in our story said to herself, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” She spoke to herself. What you say affects your life. King David in Psalm 42:15 speaks to himself and says, “Why are you cast down, oh my soul; and why art thou disquieted in me? Hope then in God…” We are more than our physical bodies or our emotions. We are spirit and we can speak to ourselves and say, “Self, shape up!” We can speak out loud what we believe. Jesus in Luke 11:22 -23 said, “Have faith in God; I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, go throw yourself into the sea and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.” What do you say about yourself? What do you say about your spouse and your children? Do you say good things, faithfilled words that edify? What do you say about your future? Many years ago a man in our church came to me and made a declaration. He had just returned from a seminar where a Christian businessman had shared how he had tithed on one million dollars. This young man, an electrician, said to me, “Pastor, this next year I’m going to give $100,000”. That year he gave $130,000. He was the first person in our church to give over $100,000 in a one year period. What you say is important. The third question which confronts us is, “What do you show?” What actions do you take? The woman with

I stopped, Keep in mind she was seen as unclean got out of my car and walked through by the law. If somebody had seen her the supermarket. He’s going to judge you by what gifts He’s given you and whether you used them for His glory. What do you see? What do you say? What do you show? Let us conclude by showing how these three questions work to help you take great steps of faith and allow the Holy Spirit to work miracles in your life. 3 The King’s Call

The Davis Ohana moving to Oregon is as unexpected to me as it is to you. Let me tell you what happened and why we are moving. At the 2012 Prophetic Conference, Jim Critcher spoke a number of things to me, one of which was a brief mention that God was going to visit me in the night. That following November (2012) the Lord indeed visited me in a way that I didn’t expect. Over a period of 6 weeks I had 5 incredible dreams that were clearly from God. Each dream was a significant word to me. After I awoke from the first dream, a voice spoke to me and said words I thought I would never hear, much less speak. “You are moving to Oregon.” I was shocked and confused. I had never been to Oregon before. However, I knew God had spoken clearly through the dream, then directly to me when I woke up. The next morning at Early Morning Prayer, I started staring at Oregon on the map. I was looking for it to start glowing or a hand to appear pointing to it, or anything that would be a clear sign I was to pack up my family of 7 and move to a location I had never been. At Friday Night Prayer, I would take time to listen for God to speak to me again, giving confirmation. I had 4 more dreams, each containing landscapes I was unfamiliar with. I continued to seek God about what the dreams were about. Though December and January, I fasted and prayed about all 5 dreams. At the end of the January 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer, I finally spoke the dreams to my wife. We agreed that I needed to approach Dr. Marocco and share with him what God had spoken to me. I didn’t want to do that. It took great courage to say aloud something I never wanted to happen. I knew the moment I spoke it to him, the dominos would

Jauary 2014

begin to fall, eventually ending with my family moving to Oregon. Kimi and I went to Oregon right after the Easter Egg Hunts for a short vacation. The kids stayed with their Pa and we visited several cities, listening and looking for God to give us direction. We never saw angels floating over buildings or glowing crosses or any kind of magnetism toward a specific location. We did, however, encounter landscapes that were from my dreams. Toward the end of the trip, we visited the Reynolds family in Lebanon. They encouraged us to check out Corvallis, which was not far from Lebanon. We drove through Corvallis and ate lunch, spending an hour or two there at most. We quickly agreed Corvallis was a place we could see ourselves. We shared that with the Reynolds, and both our families started praying for the right timing and God’s will to be accomplished. In July this year I led a mission team to Seattle and Lebanon. When we returned to Maui, I confirmed with Dr. Marocco that after much prayer and traveling twice to Oregon, that I believe God has indeed directed us to relocate. With so many uncertainties surrounding this unexpected series of dreams and now move, Minister Kimi and I are so very, very excited about two things. First, that this is nothing less than the orchestration of God. Second, we are thrilled that Minister Dylan and Rachel Andrion are taking our place. They have worked hand in hand with us for over 10 years! God is doing something unexpected, and years from now we will look back and declare He is an awesome God.

KC Maui: House of New Life By Westin Hess

I am from Fort Collins, Colorado. I am a student at House of New Life and I want to share my story with you of how God has changed my life. I started using drugs when I was thirteen years old just smoking weed and drinking alcohol. I continued my drug use up until I was fifteen, and then began experimenting with heavier drugs. When I first started using drugs, it was something to do and enjoyable. Eventually, it developed into a habit to escape reality. One night in the fall of 2012, I snuck out of my house to go to a party. I had consumed a lot of alcohol and smoked a lot of weed. When my parents woke up, they noticed I was gone. They tried to get a hold of me on my cell phone. When I arrived home they knew I was drunk and high. The next morning when I went downstairs, I saw that my dad was very disappointed. Later, I found out my mom had searched my room and found drugs and drug paraphernalia. That’s when I felt like everything around me was over; they found out about my drug problem. That day, I attempted suicide by slitting my wrist. When my mom found me, she quickly ran over to me, cried out to my

dad and told him to call 911, I had almost bled out and died. I blacked out and only remember being in an ambulance. After my hospitalization, I chose to keep using drugs. I started ditching school, which got me into worse trouble. My parents put me into a new school, which helped, but I still did drugs. One day, I fell into a deep depression and wanted to end my life. This time I tried to hang myself. I put the big loop around my neck and tightened it. I crawled out of my window and began choking. I realized then that I didn’t want to die anymore, but it was too late. I tried to pull myself back up, but I couldn’t. My dad miraculously walked in at that moment and rushed over and tried to pull me back up. God spared my life again. When I got to the hospital they put me in a neck brace and thought there might be permanent damage. Even after all of this I continued to use drugs and didn’t care even though it contributed to my suicide attempts. Eventually, my parents found out more about my problem and were advised by my psychiatrist to send me

House of New Life Directors Alton & Lynda Shimodoi Kula, Maui to House of New Life. Since I’ve been here I have chosen to re-dedicate my life to Christ and I have been baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit. God has done so many miraculous things in my life. I’ve been caring much more about life and having a more positive outlook on things. When I was using drugs, I had a great desire to escape reality, but now, all I want is reality through Jesus Christ. When I was young, and I went to church, it didn’t feel real to me. Most of the time, I just focused on friends. Now God is real to me, and I know He’s making huge changes in my life. I am so thankful for what He’s doing in my life. I have learned that obedience is the key to blessings. I thank God for House of New Life and the staff for helping me to live for God.

What’s Happening

On August 22, 2013, I was sent on a mission by Dr. Marocco to Honolulu for four days to experience the Aloha Fest at Pastor Josh’s extension on Oahu. Pastor Josh and his amazing team began to pour into me a passion for “Aloha Fest” on Maui. I felt the Lord speak to me, “Go into the highways and byways and compel them to come in that My house may be full!” (Luke 14:23) Maui’s Aloha Fest was birthed on October 29, 2013 at 5pm. We fed over 2,300 people dinner, plus over 650 children under the tent with Pastor Kirsten Davis and his team of volunteers. We put together 1,000 food bags for families. We helped some families with their finances at the “We Care” table. The church was full to capacity, with over 3,000 people attending the service. Our volunteers were the superheroes of the event – connecting with so many people from the buses to the greeters, registration

and parking lot attendants. I have prayed many times in Early Morning Prayer that there would be so many people coming to church that we would have a traffic jam, and it happened! We hired two police officers to come and help us get everyone here safely. Pastor Josh and his team from Honolulu showed up to help us get ready for the people. Pastor Josh literally rocked the service with his love for Aloha Fest. Hundreds came forward to receive Christ at the altar. Dr. Marocco’s prophetic words for the church that “God was going to show up and show off His power” indeed took place. It is high energy! It’s an opportunity to change the way the church is viewed. King’s Cathedral gives back to the community in a tangible way by meeting the needs of hurting people. Pastor Josh says it best: “When Oprah gives, Oprah gets the credit; when government gives, President Obama gets the credit; when the church gives…

Jesus gets all the glory!” The reward of the harvest will bebeyond what you could ever imagine. Our church will never be the same. Our volunteers have been touched and motivated to do more. Many people ask, “Are we doing it again?” Yes! January 19, 2014 at the Vision Conference, we will touch people’s lives again with the Aloha Fest…Maui style!

in Hawaii & Continental U.S. KC Lanai: Filipino Ministry By Pastor Arthur Daguimol

King’s Chapel Lanai Pastor Kevin & Minister Diana McNamara

There is a joy that everyone feels as we fulfill the great commission to go and make disciples. Pastor Kevin, following the Prophetic Conference in 2012, urgently pushed beginning a Filipino ministry on lanai. So in November, we started a Filipino ministry. During the day our team from Maui together with KC Lanai knocked on almost every house on the island. As a result, people were saved, healed, and set free from bondages. We also went to the swap meet and witnessed to elderly folks and bought some of their produce with the goal of sharing the gospel to merchants and traders. We planted two bible studies, one Ilokano and one Visayan. Two Filipino leaders have gone over to Lanai twice a month to minister to the small groups. Maui Filipino leaders are so passionate about what God is doing in Lanai that they don’t mind the rough seas. Nanay Prescy (the wife of the late Pastor Alcantara) and Pastor Alcantara spent years of their life ministering to the people of Lanai. Now I understand that they did the hard work of plowing the field and planting

the seed so we could reap the harvest. The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:6 – “I planted the seed, Apollo watered it, but God has been making it grow.” A year has passed after we had the first service and our small groups continue to grow. The harvest is now. We have continued visiting people in the community and many are now coming back to church and reconnecting with the vision of KC. Pastor Kevin and Minister Diana are so excited to see unprecedented increase of attendance on Sundays. What keeps us going? First, we want to be a part of the prophetic word that said, “Lanai would be the first Christian island.” Secondly, we want to support Dr. Marocco’s vision of having a Filipino Ministry in every KC extension. Continue to pray for us as we persevere on this noble task of making disciples.

KC Oregon: Childrens Ministry By Pastor Kelley Reynolds

King’s Chapel Oregon Pastor Brian & Pastor Kelley Reynolds

7 The King’s Call

There were about 30 of us praying at the stadium where our egg hunt would be in just a few days. Pastor Reynolds called us together and said to join hands and pray for the people on your right and left. I was grabbing the hand next to me when all of a sudden, a little, very dirty and sticky hand grabbed my hand. I wanted to pull away in reaction to how yucky it felt. I looked down to see a little boy with a great big smile on his face looking up at me. I wanted to find a baby wipe and clean his hand. I wanted to ask him what he had been doing to get such a dirty hand. As he gazed into my eyes he said, “I pray too, Pastor Kelley.” As everyone began to pray, I could only think of how I could get this little hand out of mine without hurting his feelings. All of a sudden, I heard this little guy praying with his head slightly bowed

Jauary 2014

and his eyes shut tight. I couldn’t make out what he was saying, but I could clearly see he was putting his whole heart into it. I closed my eyes and began to pray. As I prayed, the Lord reminded me of how he gave His life for all, that our righteousness is as filthy rags, that only because of Jesus we are clean. I now felt a precious little hand in mine instead of the dirt. I could go beyond the dirt and the stickiness. I could feel how tiny, tender and amazing that hand was. That little guy wanted to be loved, to be included, and to imitate some one that he looked up to. That little hand changed my heart and put my thinking in the right perspective. It’s all of our jobs to lead little ones to Jesus. Jesus took our filth on himself and gave us life. Live for Jesus in such a way that you could take a child’s hand and lead them to the giver of life!

- By Pastor Kelley Reynolds

A covenant is a formal, solemn, and binding agreement: a : a written agreement or promise usually under seal between two or more parties especially for the performance of some action.

This is how the evening went: Rings are to be presented after ordering & before eating.

Say:

Please open your box & hold the ring in your hand. Do not put it on.

Say:

“The ring you are holding in your hand”; Is a gift to you from Mom & I, just as you are a gift from God to us. Please cherish it as we cherish you. As you wear it, remember that you are our son, You are our daughter, nothing you may ever do could separate you from our love or make you not our child. We always love you. No matter what! The ring is a circle, reminding you that our love for you, like God’s love, is endless. The accent of Hawaiian Koa hardwood reminds you that you are an important part of our ohana, strong and inseparable from us and one another, and of your Hawaiian heritage born on Maui.

Men:

Your ring is made of Tungsten steel: very strong & resistant to corrosion. This ring reminds you of the strength of character that you possess, to resist the temptation that can so easily destroy you and that as part of this family, you are amazingly strong - stronger than you alone could ever be.

Ladies:

The maile leaf, beautiful and valuable, reminds you of your surpassing beauty and priceless value to God & this family. Your outward obvious beauty and your unwavering strength of character make you irresistible. Always remain confident of this fact & never give place to the devil, who will lie to you & try to rob you of these attributes.

Covenant:

As you wear this ring, People will ask if you are married.

The answer is:

I am in a covenant relationship of great value to me. I will never break that covenant. Other Important relationships will only add value to me and my family.

Say:

As you enter this covenant I would like you to repeat a vow. “I promise to keep this covenant with you Mom and Dad.” Are You Andrew, Kelsey James & Timothy Reynolds, strong in character & committed to this family and to God, always striving to do your best to live for Jesus? Please answer by saying “I am.” You may now put on your rings! Pray for your child/children. Enjoy your meal together.

Pastor Reynolds (Brian) and I wanted to do a family covenant ring rather than a purity ring. I wanted to strengthen the weight and meaning of it - that what you do affects the whole family. We did not come up with a ring design until our youngest was 11 and our oldest 20, so we did our ceremony all together at one time. It would be best to give around the age of 12 or 13. This is a model to use. You will need to write your own covenant according to your family vision. I give permission to use our wording or parts of it. Below is a great scripture to read over before writing your covenant and of course the bible is full of ideas on families. Colossians 3:12-17 New International Version (NIV) 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

This is the story of how I met Miguel Angel. He is a tenant in the building we are renting for our church. He also rents a room where he teaches art to children in the community. When I had the opportunity to speak with him, I would tell him about Jesus. He would try to change the subject or disregard it in a polite way to avoid the conversation. During one Friday night service, while he was in his room, he heard the worship and it caught his curiosity. He came into the service and stayed until the worship was over. My next opportunity to share Jesus was when Faviola Saravia passed away. She was a mother whose son was in Miguel Angel’s art class. He was not aware that she had passed as she was young in her thirties. One day he had asked me about her. I shared the bad news of her passing but also the hope of the Good News. I shared her testimony and her faith. I shared our comfort in God as we grieve and how for those who know Him, we have the hope of eternity and seeing her again. Miguel Angel had many questions about eternity and how one could have an eternal life. I started at the beginning and asked him if he knew who Jesus was and why He died on the cross. Miguel Angel had been a catholic for 50 years and how he went to church every day to ring the bells. But as far as who Jesus was, he did not believe in him and his death, he philosophized was to show us “how to die.” Not in the physical sense of crucifixion, but that we should die selflessly and sacrificially; that at the end of our lives, others would benefit from our death. I asked him if he knew of anyone else who had died that way. He could not think of another example. So first, I began to tell him about God’s great love for us. That He had created us to love us but how sin had caused a barrier to our relationship with God. How God had to restore us to Him and that sacrifice that would require. I shared the scriptures Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through

Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NLT) Jesus Christ died for our sins. He paid the price for our death Romans 3:10-12, and 23, as the Scriptures says, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” (NLT) The price (or consequence) of sin is death. Romans 5:8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (NLT) We receive salvation and eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9-10, and 13 “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved ... For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (NLT) Salvation through Jesus Christ brings us into a relationship of peace with God. Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever would believe in Him would have eternal life. I told him that God’s love is everlasting and everyone needs a savior, and Faviola had come back to Jesus because she knew she needed a Savior, and now she is in heaven. He wanted that hope for his life, he wanted eternal life. We prayed and he accepted Jesus into his heart. I am now giving him lessons, one on one ,once a week. He still goes to the Catholic Church to ring the bells, but he now has a relationship with Jesus.

KC Japan By Pastor Mayumi Nakaue

First of all, I want to say thank you so much to Pastor Marocco and staff for the Annual Prophetic Conference. This year was so incredible! Two members of the Japan extension came this year. One of the member’s that came had been suffering deep depression for more than 3 years, but after she received the personal Prophetic word in the call out room, she

was delivered completely!! Praise God! On the last night of the Prophetic Conference, she received a powerful prophesy of how God has anointed her to reach and lead many children to faith in Jesus Christ. Another miracle that happened was regarding a Japan exchange student staying with one of the members of KC Oahu. The member invited the exchange student to church and we were able to minister to her. We found out that she had been in very deep depression for a long time. We prayed with her and she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She also decided

to sign up for the Prophetic Conference - she was so touched and changed. She also received a wonderful prophetic word about how God was moving her into a new way of life. She is now regularly attending the KC Oahu services and bible study. Praise God!! While we were at KC Oahu we received the prophetic word from Apostle Emanuele Cannistraci: “When you go back to your nation, you tell them that a new day is dawning. You’ve come to the end of the day where only 1½ % of the Japanese people are born again. And the devil has laughed and mocked and scorned. Little churches, little churches, but the move of God can’t be contained in little reservoirs, in cisterns. There’s going to be a mighty river flowing, the tsunami of the Spirit, where thousands and thousands of Japanese have come to the end of one day and entering a new day that they recognizing their need of ME, says the Lord. Prophesy; prophesy that the move of God is coming.” While we were at KC Maui, Pastor Chris Davis shared the prophetic vision he had about Japan. “About a month ago, I was really feeling a burden for Japan. Every day, Japan was on my mind and I was wondering how all of you were doing over

there. I was praying during that week, just my morning prayer time and God gave me a vision of Japan, a prophetic picture for Japan; I saw the entire nation was flooded, not a physical flood, but it was like everyone was walking around sloshing around in water up to their knees. In Tokyo, in major cities, people were walking to work, people were going and crossing the street, just like every day walking through water up to their knees and it was a prophetic picture that God wants to pour out His Spirit upon all of Japan. God wants to bring revival that affects every part of Japan, every social level, every financial level, in business, people in business, in homes, in the country side and the cities, a revival that affects the entire nation. God is going to bring an out pouring that affects every strata of life in Japan. Let’s pray right now, Father God, we just ask you right now, Lord God, that You would send the wave of Your Holy Spirit, Lord God, that will affect and cover this nation and that this nation would be saved. In Jesus name. Amen”. Wow!!!! Praise God!! We are so excited for the move of God in Japan!!! Please continue to pray for the out pouring of the Holy Spirit upon the people of Japan!!! Pray for a great revival in this land!! Pray for God’s great provision to build for the harvest!!

KC Africa By Minister Eloise Correa

Momentum is the key word for this season in Mozambique as we celebrate our third extension in two years. Beginning with Manga, KC Mozambique reached high speed as we quadrupled in salvations, water baptisms and membership. In September, I began doing Sunday services in both Beira and Manga (two weeks per month on alternating Sundays). This new schedule greatly encouraged the people in Manga. The church in Manga was excited to be part of King’s Cathedral and Chapels. The sense of belonging fueled their desire to reach out to more people: their families, neighbors and friends. Manga grew from 15 members in March to 60 members in June, when I returned to Africa from the U.S. We began a mid-week Bible study as preparation for water baptism by the end of October. The average weekly attendance of 20 committed people led to a strengthening of weekly Sunday attendance and established commitment to KC Mozambique. On October 26, we arranged for water Baptism at a beach in Beira. Sixty three people attended from Manga and nine persons from Beira. Fifty nine people got baptized that day. Glory to God!!! That Sunday, October 27, Manga celebrated our first year together. Manga’s commitment to being a church in the flow of the river of God and in the power of the Holy Spirit was marked with 120 signed members attending our First Anniversary Festa. As an act of worship and faith, Manga launched and extension in Nhamatanda, three hours northwest of Manga. Leaders Jose’ and his wife, began a fellowship about nine months ago meeting under tree. After visiting Manga, the people in Nhamatanda voted to request to

be part of KC Mozambique vision. God graciously led us to embrace the work in Nhamatanda with its thirty people. As a statement of commitment, they collected enough money to build a thatched roof covering for their church. A week later our two lay leaders, Selestiano and Jorge, visited them and found them spiritually healthy and full of hope and joy. The Lord blessed me with two new helper-employees, Manguese and Manuel. Both young men serve as translators and co-workers with me in the Manga church; Manguese helps lead the music ministry and Manuel serves as the children’s ministry leader. Dauce married this fall to Ana Paula and they are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl. 2013 was an election year in Mozambique. Fighting broke out between opposing forces with the political climate becoming dangerous and uncertain. However the church continued to move forward. There are more people in outlying areas who want to join us, however, we could not meet because of the guerilla warfare. We decided to wait until January to connect with outlying areas that are more than 5-6 hours away. We continue to trust Jesus for increase. We moved into our new facility in July in the city of Beira. The facility was quickly filled to capacity of 60 plus members. We did two wonderfully successful outreaches this season. In September we had a Youth Night that premiered the movie ‘PURPOSE’. With only 6 teens in our Beira church, we reached twenty international youth in our community; a few were

KC Puerto Varas, Chile

When Pastor Josh Marocco came to Chile for our Prophetic Conference in 2011, he gave a prophetic word to Minister Paulo Nacaratte. Not only was Paulo surprised, but also all who heard it. Pastor Josh told him: “I see you surrounded by many children. They are all black and have curly hair.” In Chile, there are not too many “black” people, especially in Puerto Varas, where Paulo started a new chapel. Germans founded Puerto Varas and to this day there are more blond and blue eye people in that city than anywhere else in Chile. Two years went by and one day, Minister Nacaratte called me. He shared with me a brand new open door to ministry that had opened for him and wanted my blessing. A wealthy family from Puerto Varas received the Lord as their Savior. He had been a Chilean government official stationed in Haiti. They have three children of their own and decided to adopt three others from that island: Colombia, Agustin and Luciana. Feeling that they needed to do more, they decided to start a Foundation for the Haitian orphans. He remembered Pastor Josh’s prophetic word. Minister Paulo was excited and ready to go! On the 15th of October, Minister Paulo went to Haiti to open an orphanage to reach “black and curly hair children.” I am including a picture of Paulo surrounded by the children that Pastor Josh saw when he shared that prophetic word! God is doing amazing things in Chile and now in Haiti. Praise God! Muslims. Glory to God for His gospel of truth!!! October 19 we had KIDS’ DAY for children ages 5 to 11 years old. The day was filled with games, crafts and a puppet show. In the height of guerilla warfare, kidnapping and murder in our community, we trusted God to protect all children who would attend. God is faithful!!! Twenty-six children attended; eight were not from our church. Five children gave their hearts to Jesus and three of them were Muslims. We were ecstatic at the Lord’s grace and goodness. As fighting throughout the countryside and the city increased, I made the decision to return to the U.S. under advisement of my husband and partner, Greg, and Pastor Marocco. The three extensions are holding the forts with the lay leaders for each group. Violence has subsided as the parties involved have begun discussions. Please pray for our extensions in Mozambique that they be safe and prosper in the Holy Spirit.

What’s Happening

TYPHOON HAIYAN { T H E

By Pastor Steve Franks

Rising from the devastation of the storm, the people of the Philippines struggle forward day by day to return to some semblance of a normal life. Our churches in Tacloban, Palo, and Jaro have been hit hardest. They lost most of their possessions and some lost family and friends – but in the midst of the storm, God was there for His people. I was sent by Dr. Marocco and KC to minister to the people and bring monetary support. When I arrived, I was greatly encouraged by all the testimonies of God’s grace. One couple was swept away by the waters four miles through wood and metal debris which was tearing and ripping at them. They miraculously survived with only cuts, where many others perished in those same waters. Even though they had injuries in the polluted water, they developed no infections. Another of our ministers prayed all night during the wind and rising water to be saved. God protected her family and she was able to make it to Davao with the other refugees. Pastors Alan and Estrella Nakama gave

many examples of God’s mercy. The Nakama’s opened their home after the storm and had church. Many people around the community came and praised God in the midst of the suffering. Possibly the most significant testimony was God’s protection for the Nakama’s on the journey to Davao. Rebels were on the road raiding buses and robbing passengers of money and valuables. Our church people had no money to pay to get on the ferry, but they made it to the ferry without being robbed and the ferry Captain allowed them to board with the promise of payment on arrival. God’s favor, protection, and provision have been evident every step of the way. Every one of the KC staff in the Philippines was saved and are now ministering in other locations until they are able to return to their city. The Nakama’s believe that God is going to make Tacloban a “warehouse” for the Philippines, which would fulfill a prophecy spoken over them. Greater opportunity for ministery will open when they return to Tacloban.
