ARCHITECTURE ANALYSIS
Pass of force I imagine the handle being a force that drives another imagined force, stairs and platforms.
Relatively medium As people walk through stairs, each steps are relatively the base forward to higher steps.
12
Drive of components I imagine each stair step as a component in a machine, each dives each other into motion as a chain reaction.

MODEL
16
Path and twist of force Rotation on the outer side and the vortex inside to represent the condition of force. The conection between outer and inner side are not based on connecting physically but the concept of rotation.
Drive of components Using the shift of object to present the concept of driving components.

LEARNING TO MASTERS : PHASE 1 2016 3/07 - 3/28
Search for data of master′s case, make a model and draw plans of the structure, and simple analyize the case.

Stacking
Structures inlay into lower level, persumes for stability.
32
Position
Each entity‾s position are calculated making the structure stable.
Route
Although on the outer side the structure look complicated, but the route inside is relatively simple.
Window
The window of this structure is sharp-pentagon shape, making the light pouring in stable, which is good for interior design desplay.

34
LEARNING TO MASTERS : PHASE 2 2016 3/28 - 4/25
Dive deeper into the case, learn the wisdom within and organize the concepts of the structure.

36
Structure
Route
Windows
37
Windows The simple shape of the outer window makes the light pouring in stable, therefore serves great as a furniture display. The windows in the conjunction point of two entity allow the light from upper level goes in the lower structure, lighten the dark in the middle of the rectangular entity.
But the window can also serves as a guide to the visitors, the big window can attrack people, pulling people form a side to another.
38
Structures One entity always lay on atleast two other entitys, this stablize the high-structure. Entitys inlays into each other, this also makes the structure more stable. Now, not only the cable of hold the structure but also the walls.
The inlaying of the entitys also serves other function. Visitors can see another structure is right above/beneeth them, it makes visitors ďź‚feelďź‚themselves are actuallyin the enormous structure, rather than just being in a room.
39
Guided route The route of Vitrahaus if see as a whole is a counterclockwise rotation, the first level′s route will incept the “counterclockwise route”into the visitor′s sub-conscious, which makes the visitor knowing where to go in higher level. The position of the stair also serves as an guidance to the route, the stairs are usually located in the side of the rectangular entity, the sub-conscious of the visitor will be guided to the long way of the hall. Using the visitor′s view as starting point, I draw lines to mimic visitor′s sight, result in a triangular entity, a enhanced guided entity.
40
Extremed guided route Using the prior analyze, I developed it to extreme. I use the transformed entity to form a new structure.
41
Fixed shape I altered the entity′s shape to moderate, keeping both the structural shape and the guided route′s element. I futhered studied the relation between windows and route, and the connection between entitys.
42
Draft model Using the prior analyze, I organized the fixed entity in to a clockwise structure. Inlay and space, guidance and windows, stacking and clockwise, this structure has the shadow of vitrahaus within.
43
Adding private zone Stablelize structure
44
Draft II Adding private space and stables the structure, and fixes small issues, I made a more detailed draft.

Interior
47
Fixed shape I altered the entity′s shape again, I figured that what makes Vitrahaus special aren′t only about stacking and route, the complex yet harmonic look of the structure, is also one of the reasons. So I redesigned the entity to let it looks smoother and less edgy, but keeps the concept of guiding.
48
Space′s space The space that the stacking of the entity formed in the center is also an unspoken important factor making Vitrahaus interesting. The hollowed center acctually brings out the structure′s sense of space .
I designed some drafts to test which kind of stacking pattern is the best.

Guidance of light I added the translucent windows which twines through the entitys, only the light will be seen through the window. This path of light serves as a strengthen guidance.

MUSIC METAL 2016 5/9 - 6/11
Analyse three songs, Imperial March, Fur Elise, and Canon. Use the concepts to develope a space. Material are restricted to metal.
63
Imperial March
Canon
Fur Elise
Perspective I analyzed the three songs, agressive for Imperial March, calm and peaceful for Canon, and hesitation for Fur Elise. I merged these concepts togher and form a new one, perspective. I explaines the contrary of Imperial March and Canon as two sides of a incident, and the hesitation of Fur Elise as the conflict between them, forming Bias.
64
Video I made a video to express what I thought about ďź‚perspectiveďź‚. By flashing controversial figures in history between peaceful images, I shown my definition of perspective.
65
Montage I′ve also made a montage to express my definition of perspective. Cover in layers and layers, the truth is complicated, for someone, it might be good, but for others it might be terrifiying,it′s all about perspective.
66
The material are restricted to metal, a relativelyďź‚hardďź‚material. Before I started, To express what I want, I tried some ways to play with metal.
67
First draft The spikes and the smooth parts are in contrary, meaning the two sides of the perspective, but in the center, the complex ball means the complicated truth.
68
Opinion
The spikes are concentrated in the middle, means the form of opinion. To be more specific, it′s a focused space.
Fact
The complex of the coating means the intricate and uneasy seen truth. It is a space of coating.
Conflict
There are sharp angles, traveling around the incident, this means the conflict between opinions. It′s a space of twining.
69
70
Incidents I made some model try to define theďź‚incidentďź‚, a barrier.
