A town surrounded by mountains

The Rabczańska Valley, crossed by the Raba River, is situated in the south-west part of Lesser Poland. A small but delightful town, Rabka-Zdrój, lies in its centre. It is the Town of Children of the World which is famous worldwide as a children’s spa. It is mainly associated with Rabkoland Fun Park and the Puppetry ‘Rabcio’. It is a place which abounds in attractions for children and adults. What is more, Rabka is surrounded by the Gorce and the Island Beskids. It also lies close to Podhale or the Żywiec Beskids. The mountains offer picturesque trails, tourists shelters with a unique atmosphere and panoramic spots. They are also perfect for cyclists or skiers. At the place, we can eat delicious, regional dishes, listen to regional music and see folk dances.

Rabka Commune offers numerous sites connected with its long history – with Cistercian Fathers, Galicia times and the culture of Rabka and Gorce Highlanders.

On the basis of brine, which is present in Rabka Commune, a spa was formed. Tourists take advantage of its properties in sanatoria, mineral water pump rooms or brine graduation towers. Nothing else lets us relax and run away from the hustle and bustle of a big city than brine combined with the mountain climate.

Tourism services and a tourist information point

In order to visit Rabka without skipping any interesting attractions, you should consult with a local travel agency. BIT-BORT Tourist Centre offers services for children, teenagers and adults (health visitors and tourists) who stay in the commune. The staff will help you find accommodation, choose an interesting trip or organise one, they will recommend numerous, unique attractions ideally tailored to interests, abilities and age of a visitor. There is an information spot whose staff will show you the most interesting places or attractions and answer all your questions.

Tour organisation

BIT-BORT organises a variety of sightseeing trips including hiking and coach ones with numerous attractions such as Highlander campfires, carriage rides, sleigh rides, horse riding, quad rides, skiing lessons, glass painting lessons, pottery, sculpting or embroidery. From Rabka one can go on a trip to Podhale, the Pieniny, Orawa, Spis, Sądecki Land, the Żywiec Beskids, the Island Beskids, the Gorce and even to Slovakia.

Guides

The centre offers guiding services of the best guides who know the region inside out. They are so-called ‘locals’ who were born in Rabka, have walked all the trails of the Gorce, the Island Beskids, or Podhale numerous times. They know all the secrets of the Spa Park and they are good friends with all the owners of galleries in Rabka. The centre offers guided tours of towns, villages, museums, historic sites, temples and other interesting spots. Obviously, they also offer hiking tours into the Beskids, the Gorce, the Pieniny, the Tatras and the Bieszczady. They will take you to the most interesting places in the whole of Lesser Poland as well. The best coach tour guides will accompany you while travelling to the most interesting places in Poland and Europe.

Bit-Bort also assists their customers with booking accommodation facilities such as private rooms, agritourism farms, holiday lodges, apartments and sanatoria. The employees will help you choose the right place adjusted to your and your family requirements. They will show you the most interesting, sometimes little-known places, advise you on the choice of the area or they will give you a hint which accommodation facility serves the best cuisine.

Regional souvenirs

At the centre you will be able to purchase souvenirs –a classical magnet, a postcard from Rabka or regional items manufactured in the commune.

Alpenstocks, hand painted porcelain, toy sheep, bells of various sizes, wooden utensils, leather accessories with regional accents and a variety of other things which will remind you of this very exceptional stay in the commune or will be a great present for your nearest and dearest. Maps, guidebooks and books about Rabka, Sądecki Land, the Beskids and even the Tatras and Slovakia are available there as well.
