Seaside park Seaside park area is 70h, the park was built from 1870 to the 20th century. There are more than 140 diffrent tree species and shrubs, the trees give people oxygen.Today Seaside park is a popular hiking place. There are a stadium, tennis courts, a concert stage ‘’Pūt vējiņi’’, summer cafes, minigolf area, bowling center ‘’Dzintara boulings’’, children’s playground and the largest open skatepark in Latvia. The seaside park is located in Liepu street,Liepaja.

St.Meinard Catholic chruch The building was built and located in Germany in Hanover. The pavilion was defeated by the German catholic donators, transported to Liepaja and rebuld, as well as arranged according to the requirements of the church. The building is round shape. It is a 12,5-meter high metal bell tower on the left. In front of the chruch there is a 800kg heavy bell. The chruch has wooden walls, wooden floors, but the ceiling consists of window constructions. The church is located in 120, Ganību Street.

Jānis Peters Jānis Peters was born on 30th June, 1939 in Priekule. At first he studied at Liepaja Secondary School No.6, then worked as a stage worker at Liepaja Theater. Jānis Peters is a well-known Latvian poet and publicist. His first poetry was "Kaist Pīlādzis sniegā" in 1961. During his lifetime he has published several poetry collections, wrote essays and books about Latvian culture. Peters poetry is often found in popular lyrics. Janis Peters has taken the cartoon "SI-SI-DRA".

Roses Square The Roses Square is located in 9, Zivju Street, Liepaja. The area was created by designer Georges Kutefalta was founded in 1911. It was 0.44 hectares. Later there were planted trees and were placed the benches. This is intended for a tourist sightseeing and a meeting place for Liepaja’s people.

St.Trinity Lutheran Cathedral The Trinity Lutheran Cathedral is located in 9, Lielā Street, Liepaja. Trinity Lutheran Cathedral was built in katedrāles July 9 in 1742. In this churche there is the largest mechanical organ in the world.

St. Nicholay Orthodox Cathedral Saint Nicholay Orthodox Cathedral is located in 7, Katedrāles Street, Karosta, Liepaja. This cathedral was built in 1900 and completed in 1903. The cathedral was built to complain of sin, pray to God.

Liepaya Cetral Scientific Library The Liepaja Central Scientific Library is located in 7,Zivju iela 7. This library was founded in 1777. You can read books and have a good time in here. If desired, you can also borrow the book, but return it for a certain period of time.


Olafs Gūtmanis Olafs Gūtmanis was born on 10th January, 1927 and died on 4th December, 2012. He wrote poems and prose. He is a famous writer. He wrote a lot of poetry in his life, and in 1995 he was awarded the "Goda Liepājnieks" and also the "Lāčplēša Ordenis" medal.

Eva Kukuka Elizabete GrÄŤnberga Alley of fame of Latvian musicians May 12th ,2006 the alley of Latvia musicians was opened in Liepaja. There are 35 bronze plates with musicians handprints at the avenue.

Anna’s Lutheran Cathedral in Liepaja The Luteran Church of Liepaja is the Latvian church. This is the oldest church in Liepaja, this church was built in 1684. This church is in 1, Eduarda Veidembauma Street .

Evald Rimbenieks He was a pastor and social worker of the Latvian Baptist Church. He was also Liepaja City counil, and a Latvian Finance Ministre for about two months. He lived from 10th April 1888 to 20th January 1943.
