Terms & Conditions TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for his purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. BID - Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller. DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final. PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. INFORMATION SUPPLIED - The information contained in this catalogue is believed to be true and accurate. However, the information has been supplied by the seller and neither Transcon Livestock Corp. or Keltey Whelan Designs assume any responsibility if the information supplied is not accurate. ANNOUNCEMENTS from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY - A registration/recordation certificate issued by the applicable breed association and duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has been made. It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine the acceptance of this certificate in any other association. SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement. BREEDER’S GUARANTEE - As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price. EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. HEALTH - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale. ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS - The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale. Welcome to the first annual Transcon’s Next Step Simmental Bull Sale. We are very excited to host this sale in the great facility at Thorsby Stockyards Inc. This sale was strategically placed at TSI to have a sale in North Central AB in a very popular commercial market that is easily accessible. Join us for some small town hospitality in Thorsby at the presale lunch. The sale isn’t big in numbers but with great quality and depth from an enthusiastic group of breeders!

Nolara Farms is the largest component of this event. Larry and Sara are coming off a strong fall show season, having raised and exhibited the Grand Campion Simmental Bull at Farmfair International. The Van Sickle family will have a good selection of Reds, Blacks and Fullbloods with many bulls being polled. The next potential show champion could be in this group of yearling bulls. Nolara Farms strives to produce sound, functional bulls that go out and get the job done for their new owners. Pam and Lyle have sold bulls very well in our Fall and Spring sales but have now decided to focus on this one annual event here in Thorsby. Langer Fleckvieh Simmentals will have a strong group of bulls led by a couple breeder quality polled calving ease bulls. Lots of hair and muscle shape in this pen of bulls. Great calving ease Fleck bulls are not easy to find, you will want to check these guys out! RDG Simmentals and KZ Simmentals round out this years sale group. Both being breeders working hard to supply quality genetics to the industry. A brown coloured bull with 2 big goggles, great hip, rib, thickness with built in calving ease on both sides of his pedigree. This blaze face bull has been exceptionally quiet since birth. He comes from a quiet, excellent uttered mother who always produces good ones. He is well muscled and thick topped, and extremely long which added a few pounds to his birth weight.

The Mr Abiscus calves seemed to rise to the top last fall. They were thick muscled well topped and he is no exception. Another bull with a shot of calving ease and performance. His mother is a moderate framed heavy milking cow that weans big ones.

The first thing you will notice about this bull when you walk into the pen is his excellent temperament followed by how structurally correct he is. These are common traits among our Wolfes Brewster FF78B calves, as seen with both the sons lots 43 & 45. If you would prefer a bull with some extra age to cover a few more cows look no further then this guy to get the job done.

Last year was our first year calving the Brewster daughters and this bull is the result of what they are doing. A direct son of Anchor “T” Metro 4E that carries a little more birth weight than the Metro calves normally do but I believe that crossed on mature cows he will sire those growthy calves that won’t leave you disappointed.

Here is another Brewster son that comes from in my opinion one of the most complete cows in our herd. For those of you who study Fleckvieh bloodlines you will notice his pedigree is anchored by some significant donor cows in Jerico’s Deirdre 21D, MFL Zailia 8Z, Salmon Arm Alaysa 31P and Great Guns Mitzi 11X.
