7/8. HOMO POLLED. HOMO BLACK. We are pleased to be offering a bull of this quality and performance as our feature this year. He is one that has been a favourite of ours throughout the summer. This bull possesses a ton of bone and maturity in a very fluid sound package. If you’re looking to improve hair on your cattle in a hurry, this guy will get it done. 1H has a birthweight of 82lbs, and is bold ribbed and deep bodied. It is hard to ignore the amount of natural muscle shape and width on his topline that carries right into his hip. 1H goes back to our donor cow DTD Honey Boo Boo 347A (RF Torque 6W) that we purchased from Russell Sevcik in 2013. She went on to win Overall Supreme Commercial at Summer Synergy in 2016 as a three year old pair. We decided to do a flush to JF Back in Black 406B on her and we have not been disappointed. 1H’s dam is the result of the flush, and is a super nice maternal cow that has a beautiful udder attachment and is smooth in her structure, yet remains deep bodied and feminine. We had the opportunity to purchase semen interest on Bold Venture in 2019 as a group from Kersten Cattle in Nebraska. 1H goes back to the influential BF Crysteel Tango cow family and High Voltage, who have both made an impact on the Simmental industry. 1H is a royal bred maternal machine, and we are confident that he will sire calves that will be high performing and maternal. When bred with purebred females, he will make purebred heifers and 7/8 bull calves.

Each year, this weekend is one we save on our calendar because it marks the coming together of our breed in the most valuable way. The opportunity to access some of the best genetics in the industry will be yours and we look forward to visiting with you about our offering. Each of the females coming to Red Deer come from the top of our pen. We’ve worked hard to combine some of the most exciting sires in the breed with our most consistent cow families. We believe in selling the females we are going to miss having at home and know they’ll do a great job in your program. City View Haley 32H ranks among the most exciting females we have offered to date. Direct from the first calf crop of the widely regarded Tycoon, this baldy female is elite in so many ways. Tycoon worked exceptionally well in our program and his first sons along with heifers in the replacement pen are highlights this fall. Her actual performance combined with a shot of fleck on the mother’s side make her a slam dunk as a mother cow but her supremely attractive look add to her versatility as a show heifer as well. It’s taken a lot of arm twisting for her to be here because the kids have been set on keeping her for themselves. Haley has an exemplary foot, is homozygous polled and is perfectly sound in structure and design. This is one we can’t say enough things about and one we’re sure to regret offering here for years to come.

We’ve brought a small group of what we feel are a good representation of our purebred heifers in our herd and we are very proud of them. All heifers have been vaccinated with Express 5, Covexxin, and Presponse HM as well as their first dose of scour guard and dewormed with Bimectin. Georgina is by far the thickest heifer in the pen and has been since she was a calf. This delightful female has the best disposition and goes back to a family of thick, deep, solid bodied females with great udders and longevity. Here’s a heifer who is 6 generations of our own breeding and out of one of our home raised herdsires. Homo Polled Ginney is hard to pick apart. She has some size to her but you cant tell because she is so thick throughout her makeup. She is very deep and soggy in her middle and has the natural muscling in her hind quarters that you know she is going to pass on to her calves. Polled and colour test pending. BLI Black Cypress 204H is another Uppercut daughter that matches well with our lead off heifer. 204 is extremely long sided, wide topped and has tons of hair. A maternal sister to 204H sold in 2018 to Deeg Simmentals and her maternal sister from 2019 is one of our top bred heifers right now. 204H is what I would consider to be a power female with a touch more frame, length and bone. If you are looking to add some scale in your cow herd 204H would help contribute to that along with having the structural soundness and pedigree to allow her to perform for years to come. If you are looking to build a herd based on strong, proven cow families then this one is for you. Stemming from our leading red donor this one was hard to part with and is viewed as the strongest red heifer calf on the farm. Cipher is a female we purchased out of the Lloyd Stockade Round Up All Breeds sale as few year back as the high seller. She went on to hang a few banners as a calf that fall, and in her first year of production for us last year she grossed over 55K in live animal and embryo sales. A few highlight calves were bulls that topped our bull sale in March and a female that sold in the annual FNL sale. 411H is no exception and is one we are real high on. She puts it all together carrying a deep bodied frame with thick muscle dimension, a strong foot, an attractive neck and skull that comes in a dark cherry red package. Being sired by Captain Scream this is one we have tons of confidence in and are excited to see what she can do for her new owners.

Homo Polled 23H is the first female being sold off our home raised herd sire Rafter 4T Redemption. Redemption was one of the highlights for us in our 2019 bull sale that we were fortunate to keep a piece of. He had a very successful fall in 2018 where he was the Grand Champion Bull Calf at Farmfair. Her dam is a young, moderate framed, beautifully uddered producer that is starting to make a name for herself on the farm; her first calf sold in our bull calf last March. 23H is a larger framed female who walks on a strong foot who should drop a balanced udder. She is haired up real nice, with a docile personality and plenty of shape and muscle expression. If RAFTER 4T REDEMPTION 59F SIRE OF LOT 49 she is anything like her mother she is destined to be a strong producer for her new owners.
