avarian Auto Group, the sole BMW Assembler & Importer in Egypt has recently announced the launch of BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer for the first time in the local market. The launch of the car comes within the framework of the Group’s expansion plan within the Egyptian automotive market that aims to provide various BMW models in Egypt.
BEST CHOICE FOR A FAMILY The BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer with seven seats is based on a longer wheelbase than the Active Tourer and a trunk of storage capacity up to 500 liters of luggage. The car belongs to the MPV category that is a seven seater family compact car, it suits the needs of the Egyptian family and roads thanks to its ground clearance and its economic fuel consumption.
ECONOMIC ENGINE PERFECTLY SUITS EGYPT’S ROADS The BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer Series comes with a three cylinder, 1500 cc TWINPOWER TURBO engine, which includes turbocharging, direct fuel injection and variable valve control; it produces 140 hp with a torque of 220 Nm. The engine is coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, capable of accelerating from 0-100 Km/h in only 9.8 seconds, it reaches a maximum speed of
205 Km/h with average fuel consumption of 6.7 liters per 100 Km. This model has several safety features that are tangible through six airbags, Dynamic DSC system, ABS brake system and ISOFIX system for fixing child seats.

The headlights and foglights are supported with LED technology; the car has 16-inch light alloy wheels, rain sensors, a leather multi-function sport steering wheel, Cruise control with braking function, automatic air conditioner and automatic operation of tailgate. The reason behind this diversity is the several interests I grew up in love with since my childhood to my adulthood. When I was at school, I really loved drawing, especially portraits and because of that when I grew up, I got interested in makeup and how it brings out the features. I worked as a makeup artist for 4 years. In addition to makeup, I’ve always been interested in fashion as well. I always find ways to style basic outfits to become more edgy or to give a statement that reflects my identity. I even worked as a fashion designer for quite some time. At some point in my life I used to work as a graphic designer in a publishing house, but major turning point took place shortly before I was about to get married but things didn’t work out. Here’s when I’ve become a completely different person. It’s like I decided to unleash my full potential. I started to work as a model, and began to focus on my Instagram account. As a person, not only that I love to try doing different things, but also it is important for me to prove to myself that I can succeed at whatever I try to do. Later on, I felt it was about time I work on having my own business, and the whole idea was visualized on a day at Ras Shitan. Impressed by the beauty and the magic of Sinai, I decided I want to own a camp there. It was a very challenging phase of my life. You can imagine how difficult it is for a girl to live in a deserted area totally on her own and begin something from scratch. It was overwhelming and not easy but totally worth it. They want to see something that looks and feels real, like moments and things they can relate to in their day to day lives. The more real you are in the content you provide, the closer you reach people and begin to build reactivity and engagement. ASIDE FROM BLOGGING, WHAT ELSE ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT? What some people might not know about me is that I love sports to a great extent. I love running and when I was younger, I won medals. I stopped for a while due to some reasons, but I came back again with more passion and commitment that I’ve become a fitness model. Besides sports, I also love acting, this goes way back in time when I was in college, besides my major, I also learned acting. As much as I love acting, I haven’t really considered becoming an actress, even though several friends have been advising me to take this path. WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE PLANS? I have several plans actually. As you know, I love make up, so I’m considering the idea of opening a beauty salon. I also hope I can expand my camp in Ras Shitan to become a resort across several places in Egypt. There are two other dreams that I want to make true. They always say that travelling leaves you speechless but then turns you into a storyteller which is eventually true. If you’re a travel bug or just a person who’s intending to go on a vacation for a while, then Nauru should be your coming destination; a discreet island nation in the South Pacific Ocean. Only 50 years ago, Nauru gained its independence after being occupied for a long time. Here are some non-cliché facts about the microscopic Nauru. 1. PETIT PETIT Nauru, factually, is a small island measuring only eight square miles making it the third smallest nation in the world with a population of less than 10,000. It has 30 km of roads and no sight has been caught of any rivers or world heritage sites. Yet, a 3.9 km railway exists that was built more than 100 years ago. 2. FRAGILE SECURITY Being one of 16 countries, Nauru has no armed forces for national security. It’s backed up by Australian’s Armed National Forces, keeping it secure and safe. However, Nauru does have internal security; police force. By the end of the day, you’ll need a visa to get to the nation.

CLASSIC NO-BAKE COCONUT LEMON TART INGREDIENTS For the Crust: • 1/2 cup dates • 1/2 cup pecans • 1/2 cup almonds • 1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut plus a little more for sprinkling For the Filling: • Half a 15-ounce can of coconut cream • 1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice • 1/2 cup maple syrup or agave nectar • 1/2 tablespoon lemon zest • 1/2 teaspoon agar agar powder • 2 tablespoons cornstarch • 1/4 cup water

INSTRUCTIONS 1. Take all of the crust ingredients and pulse together in a food processor, until the mixture starts to clump together. 2. Lightly dust a 10-inch pie dish with coconut, then press the crust mixture evenly into the dish to make the base. Place in fridge while you prepare the filling 3. Whisk the coconut cream, lemon juice, zest, maple syrup and agar together in a saucepan. Then mix the corn starch and water together and add to the coconut mixture 4. Place on a medium low heat and gently heat the mixture to simmer slightly, whisking constantly. As it heats it should thicken. This should take about 8-10 minutes from start to finish 5. Once the mixture has thickened, take off the heat and leave to cool for a minute or two. Pour into the prepared tart base and leave to cool. Once at room temperature cover and place the Coconut Lemon Tart in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or until ready to serve.
BANANA SPLIT INGREDIENTS CHOCOLATE CHERRY ICE CREAM: • 2 frozen bananas • 3 tbsp. cacao powder • 1 tablespoon agave • 1/2 cup cherries (pitted) • pinch salt Piña colada ice cream: • 2 frozen bananas • 1/2 cup pineaple • 1/4 coconut milk • 1 teaspoon coconut butter • pinch salt Strawberry Cake Ice Cream: • 2 frozen bananas • 1/2 cup strawberries • 1/4 cup almond milk • 1 tablespoon peanut butter • 1 teaspoon agave • pinch of vanilla powder (from vanilla bean) • pinch salt Caramel Sauce: •1/4 cup maple •2 medjool dates •1/2 cup coconut oil
•¼ cup soaked macadamias •1/4 teaspoon salt Chocolate Sauce: •1/2 tablespoon peanut butter •3 tablespoons cacao •2 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil •2 tablespoons agave •pinch salt INSTRUCTIONS 1. Blend ingredients of each ice cream separately, and pour the mixtures into ice cube molds. 2. Place the molds in the freezer and let freeze for 2-3 hours. 3. While waiting for the ice creams cubes to harden, blend the ingredients for the sauces. 4. Once the ice creams cubes are hard, place them in the blender. Blend each flavor separately to obtain three different ice creams. 5. Cut a banana in half, lengthwise. 6. Scoop each ice cream, and place the scoops in the middle of the open banana. 7. Garnish the scoops of ice cream with caramel sauce and melted chocolate. You can also add cacao nibs, dehydrated or fresh strawberries, shredded coconut... 8. ENJOY!!

STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM WITH CACAO CRUST INGREDIENTS Ice Cream: • 3/4 cup coconut water • 1/4 cup lime juice • 1 Tbsp lime zest • 4 cups young coconut meat (or 4 cups raw cashews, soaked 4 hours and drained if coconut unavailable) • 1/2 cup raw coconut nectar (or other liquid raw sweetnener of choice) • seeds of one vanilla bean • a pinch of sea salt • 1/2 cup raw coconut butter (or oil will work too here), warmed to liquid • 1 small chunk red beet • 1 cup mixed organic raspberries and strawberries Coating: • 1/2 cup raw sprouted buckwheat groats • 1/2 cup finely shredded dried coconut • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed • 3 Tbsp raw cacao powder • 1/2 cup pitted, soft Medjool dates • 1/4 tsp sea salt • 1/2 tsp ground chipotle powder • 1/2 tsp cinnamon • 1/3 cup finely shredded dried coconut • 1/4 cup cacao nibs Sauce: • 2 cups fresh organic strawberries • 1 Tbsp lemon juice • 1 Tbsp raw coconut nectar or your choice of liquid raw sweetener
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract INSTRUCTIONS To make ice cream base: • Add coconut water, lime juic,e and zest to a high speed blender, along with coconut, nectar, vanilla, sea salt, coconut butter, beet, and berries, and process until very smooth, about a minute or two. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and process according to directions. • Pour into a freezer safe container with a lid, and let sit in the freezer overnight or until scoop-able (it needs to firm up). Scoop out 4 balls of ice cream (you will have extra ice cream for another use) with a large ice cream scoop and allow them to freeze hard. To make the coating: • In a food processor, combine the buckwheat, coconut, flaxseed, cacao powder, sea salt, chipotle, cinnamon, and dates, and process until starting to hold together when squeezed (if it doesn’t, add a few more dates). Mix in the shredded coconut and cacao nibs. Place the crumble mixture in a bowl, and roll the ice cream balls in it, pressing it into them to adhere. Place the balls back in the freezer while you make the sauce. To make the sauce: • Combine all ingredients in the food processor and process until smooth. • To plate, spoon some of the sauce onto the plate, then place the fried ice cream on top of it. Allow to sit out for at least 15 minutes to soften before enjoying (or you can pop it into the dehydrator a few minutes if you would like it quicker).

Throughout our lives we experience a lot of circumstances and situations that shape our perspectives on life matters and define the kind of people we become but one key element that could make or break us as human beings for as long as we live is our childhood; this pivotal period is frequently overlooked yet most psychologists trace mental problems faced by humanity to it. To assess childhood’s profound effect on our lives we ought to find the true sources that cause trauma within that period and then ways to curb those traumas from happening in first place, so let us take you on this journey that uncovers a healthy childhood path that paves the way to a well-balanced adult life.
A BUMPY CHILDHOOD ROAD
The Pareto principle states that for many events, 80% of the effects are caused by 20% of the causes; if we apply this principle to the relation between childhood and adulthood problems we can merely conclude that an adult’s personal traits, behavior and deficiencies are only an extension to the experiences met within childhood. Unrecoverable stumbles across verbal or physical violence and abuse whether it is directed toward children or someone within their close circle are considered primary causes of childhood trauma. Other overlooked causes of trauma may be neglect to a child’s feelings and minor achievements or feeding their insecurities through bullying and accentuating their fears. There are also factors that may fall of outside our reach yet still bruise a child’s mind and life; things like accidents, losing a loved one or absence of a parental figure can cause damage beyond remorse.
DO WE REALLY GROW? We may grow up and out of things that have clouded our minds and scarred our souls for too long, yet in some situations we find ourselves being reminded of a past that has long gone. We lose our balance and fail to see that change can only be achieved if and when we make truce with the past and amend or address whatever happened within its folds. We tend to overcome those problems that have stemmed from childhood memories by creating distractions or challenging ourselves past our breaking points just to prove to the whole world that what has caused us weaknesses and tore us deep down doesn’t define who we are; that may be right as a tag line but the technique itself for reaching it may not be the most righteous path for us to heal fully.
CAN WE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?
One thing that escapes our understanding is that no matter how much padding we put around the lives of our kids, they are still going to come face to face with life alone someday so they ought to be prepared. Being there for them as much as you can, supporting them and motivating them are good as starters but treating them with the respect they deserve as human beings is as equally important. This implies giving them some of everything; the real and valid explanation to circumstances whether they are good or unfortunate ones, love and care that is not overdone to the extreme of spoiling and educating them in different aspects of life that they may not be exposed to studying a school curriculum.
