Understand what really matters. Over the years, I have seen too many people spend too much time working on things that don’t really matter. Time is the most valuable commodity in life; it is the one thing you cannot buy more of. So, don’t waste time. Focus on what really matters. What really moves the needle for the business?

Are you working on priorities that drive the overall goals of the business or are you just making noise? Really scrutinize your day and max it out every hour, minute and second to focus on the most important outputs. For some this may require a high degree of planning and structure.

Respect boundaries. You cannot achieve your balance if you don’t respect the boundaries you have put in place. It will be hard in the beginning, but you need to stick with it so you develop a routine and drive a culture and lifestyle of predictability. You will find that there is also something else you can do. There is always another email to reply to, or a problem to work, but you need to PERSONALLY respect your boundaries. If you don’t, then you can’t expect others to respect them, and finally be open about your needs. I believe that the first thing people need to do is identify what truly matters to them and communicate it. Don’t hide it and don’t expect others to guess what makes you feel balanced and fulfilled.

AT WHAT POINT IN YOUR LIFE HAVE YOU FELT MOST SATISFIED OR MOST ACCOMPLISHED? Well, it’s an ongoing process actually, every day passes, I check my to-do list, and when it is all checked, I feel satisfied. I take this to a higher level that transcends daily tasks; which means checking bigger goals out of the list.

MUD PIE IN A JAR INGREDIENTS: 1 package Oreos, crushed 1 vanilla ice cream 1. 1 coffee ice cream 1/4 c. Hot Fudge Sauce 1/4 c. Caramel DIRECTIONS: 1. Among four mason jars, layer crushed Oreos, two small scoops vanilla ice cream, crushed Oreos, two small scoops coffee ice cream, hot fudge sauce, and caramel.

2. Garnish with crushed Oreos and serve.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE TRIFLES

INGREDIENTS: 1 container cool whip 3/4 c. mini chocolate chips 1 Oreo crust 9 chocolate chip cookies 3 Oreo cookies, crumbled DIRECTIONS: 1. Mix Cool Whip and mini chocolate chips, and spread half into an Oreo pie crust.

2. Add a layer of chocolate chip cookies, then cover with remaining Cool Whip-chocolate chip mixture. Garnish with Oreos and mini cookies.

3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to soften the cookies, then serve chilled.

INGREDIENTS: 1 c. heavy cream 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract 3 c. chopped pound cake or angel food cake 2 c. sliced or chopped strawberries DIRECTIONS: 1. In a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat cream and sugar until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes. Stir in vanilla until combined. Transfer mixture to a piping bag.

2. Among four glass jars, layer pound cake or angel food cake, whipped cream mixture and strawberries.

PINA COLADA PIE INGREDIENTS: 1 packet instant vanilla pudding mix, plus ingredients called for on box 1 c. sweetened flaked coconut, plus more for topping 1 pre-made graham cracker crust 1 container cool whip 1 can crushed pineapple, drained DIRECTIONS: 1. Prepare vanilla pudding according to the package’s instructions. Once it has set, mix with coconut and pour into the pre-made pie crust.

2. In a separate bowl, combine Cool Whip and pineapple, then pour mixture on top of the pie.

Sprinkle with additional flaked coconut and place in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Serve chilled

1. HOW DID YOUR JOURNEY AS A CHEF BEGIN? It all began in my childhood days; I grew up fond of cooking and spent a lot of time at the kitchen creating new dishes and experimenting with different ingredients.

With everyday passing by I realized that this is the career that I want to pursue. I joined culinary school to develop this talent professionally. My career path began from there where I joined the hotels and tourism industry, and step by step I made my way up as a chef.

2. LEBANESE CUISINE IS AMONG THE MOST FAVORED FOR MANY PEOPLE. IN YOUR OPINION WHAT MAKES THIS CUISINE VERY UNIQUE. Lebanese cuisine brings the best of two worlds, meaning it is both healthy and delicious at the same time. It is a diversified cuisine that brings a wide array of dishes and appetizers. The Lebanese dishes are all very light and healthy ranging from a variety of grilled dishes to appetizing light salads, in addition to the well-known traditional Lebanese appetizers that we all are familiar with. The Lebanese cuisine keeps its authenticity, but at the same time adds a modern fusion to keep up with the modern age culinary evolution. This is achieved by introducing different and ingredients to well-known dishes, and that’s what adds up to the Lebanese cuisine 3.WHAT ARE THE QUALITIES THAT MAKE A SUCCESSFUL CHEF?

First and foremost, loving what you do. Cooking is an art. It’s a passion, and if you don’t direct that passion into every dish you create, you can’t expect your guest to enjoy their dish. I also believe that a good chef should be creative, up-to-date, and always offering something new and different for a delightful dining experience. It is also important that the chef works harmoniously with his team and to pass his knowledge to every member so that everyone does his part with love. When a dish is prepared with love, you’ll definitely feel it.

4. WHAT SETS RAWI RESTAURANT APART FROM OTHERS IN THE SAME CUISINE? Rawi is driven by the importance of remaining authentic and genuine but also adding a modern twist. When you dine at Rawi, you will experience the top dishes of the Levantine cuisine like you never did. We introduce the traditional dishes with an edge; we are the place to be when you want to try something as exotic as koshary with lobster, kebab fata with pistachio, or maybe fattoush with avocado. Moreover we use premium ingredients and our pastries and bread are all homemade. All these factors add up to the distinctiveness of Rawi restaurant.

5. WHAT DO YOU LOVE THE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB? My uniform, a chef ’s uniform. I love to see the team all set and ready to work together in creating delectable dishes that satisfy our guests.

Lust usually violates this in order to fulfill the other person’s own desires. They do not care if you do not agree with their decisions; they are only there, because you both benefit from each other.

Love builds; lust destroys Love builds up a person in all areas of life. Your partner wants to be the best for you. They want you to achieve your dreams, because they want to see you happy and fulfilled.

If your relationship is making you messed up, then probably you are only staying for its physical benefits. Although lust can gratify sexual needs, it will tear you up emotionally and spiritually. As you both engage in sensual pleasure, and you know there is nothing more to it; so you gradually lose self-respect.

Love produces joy; lust produces thrill A relationship that is based on the firm foundation of love produces joy, even if being together has become a usual task.

It does not depend on the circumstances and adventures.The presence of your partner is enough to make you feel good. However, with lust, you enjoy being with each other, because of the thrill of attraction. You stick together, because of the ‘fun’ that keeps your days from being boring.

Love waits; lust is now Patience helps us find the right person. Once you find that person, you work together to preserve each other for the right time, because each of you does not want to cause any emotional scars.

Lust quickly consumes us to get our needs fulfilled at the very moment. When lust hits you, you would not care what would be the consequences of actions, as long as you get satisfied now.

Love sacrifices; lust seeks for other means If your partner respects your decisions; they are willing to sacrifice their own demands just to honor your presence in their lives.

Lust does not focus on any person. It is all about the sensual desire. If you do not give your partner what they need, then they look for someone else who can satisfy it.

Love involves trust; lust does not Once there is love in a relationship, there is a commitment between partners to remain faithful to each other. You invest trust in your partnership which is a necessary foundation for a long-lasting relationship.

Lust does not require trust. Your partner hates it when you demand loyalty. Do not mistake jealousy as an indication of love. In case they feel jealous when they see you with someone else, it is because they feel their pride is undermined.

BE CAREFUL At this stage, instead of having a split between love and lust, your new path relies on balancing the two: committed love and super intimacy, security and excitement, continuity and novelty, safety and adventure, comfort and passion. The happiest couples are the ones that can maintain a balance between lust and love.

Evaluate your relationship right now. If you realize you are in a lust-founded partnership, then you should better ponder on what could be its long-term effect on you. WHAT ARE THE UPCOMING PLANS OF EXPANSION? Alhokair Fashion Retail is the largest franchise retailer in KSA, MENA, Central Asia, and Caucasus regions. We operate locally as Retail Group Egypt, as well as our operations on international level in 9 countries. Alhokair Fashion Retail has over 2000 stores of over 88 brands.

Currently we are working on expanding our business internationally, hence, was signed the franchise of Old Navy. Based on committees, group strategies and analytics; we base and set our plans on upcoming expansion and the new brands that we will bring to our market. We are also working on expansion plans with our sister company Marakez granting a world-class shopping experience through our unique mixture of brands.

2.HOW DO YOU REGARD THE GROWTH ACROSS THE INTERNATIONAL LEVEL? Alhokair Fashion Retail is capturing the fast fashion industry, both locally and internationally. We are focusing our growth in the Balkans region in countries like Serbia, Macedonia, and Montenegro.

We have a very strong presence and positioning in Georgia with a market that includes most of our brands; moreover, we’re also focusing on Morocco, planning to open 3 flagship stores for brands like New Yorker, Charles & Keith, and Accessorize. I can say we reached an impressive stability level and a very strong position in our expansion plan.
