Group Exercise Classes Vinyasa Yoga: 60-minute, multi-level, Hatha class that links traditional poses in a flowing series to increase muscular strength and flexibility, improve functional joint mobility, and achieve mind-body balance and resiliency. Come strengthen, stretch, relax, and renew for a healthier you! Cycle Express: 30-minute, high energy, quick ride that incorporates sprint intervals, challenging climbs, and endurance flats. Come pedal your way to the end of the day with this compact but complete metabolic workout! Strength Yoga: This class is a mix of different yoga poses, and yoga flows. Sometimes pose are held to improve strength, sometimes poses are repeated to tone the muscles. This classes uses body weight and will also incorporate some cardio. Each class is different. You will never have the exact same class twice. WaterFIT Plus: A fun and challenging fitness class for anyone. This class will feature a warm-up, cardio and a cool down. Participants will work on their core, arms and leg muscles. A variety of equipment will be used to help participants gain strength, flexibility, and improve cardiovascular fitness. Boot Camp: Workouts can vary. They generally include a fairly intense mix of aerobic, strength training and speed elements within each class session. A boot camp workout is essentially a type of interval training — bursts of intense activity alternated with intervals of lighter activity. Yoga Ignite: A trend that blends yoga poses with other fitness regimens, such as Pilates, strength training, dance, or even kickboxing. Pairing yoga with other disciplines lets you burn more calories than yoga alone, while still getting the benefits of this ancient practice Forever Fit: Perfect for older adults. Our instructors will lead you in exercises that include work for all major and minor muscle groups addressing strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, balance and coordination. A great class for beginners or returning to exercisers. Lift and HIIT: High Intensity Interval Training a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body, improve your endurance and clear your mind before the busy days get started.

Personal Training and Massage Therapy Services The Q is happy to offer both Personal Training and Massage Therapy Services. The following are instructions on how to register for these services. Personal Training: We have several Personal Trainers on staff to assist with your Fitness and Wellness needs. Biographies of each Personal Trainer are on our website as well as on the wall on the Fitness Floor upstairs at The Q. To Schedule: Members should choose a personal trainer and begin a discussion via email or phone on the member’s fitness goals. The Personal Trainer will then create a plan for the first session. Sessions will be conducted in one-hour increments at a time mutually agreed upon by the member and trainer. Fees will be charged to member’s monthly statement.

Massage Therapy: We have Massage Therapists on staff to help our members treat stress, pain, and muscle tension. Members will contact our front desk to schedule an appointment. Before a massage therapy session starts, your massage therapist will ask you about any symptoms, your medical history and what you are hoping to get out of massage. Your massage therapist should explain the kind of massage and techniques he or she will use. In a typical massage therapy session, you undress or wear loose-fitting clothing. Undress only to the point that you are comfortable. You generally lie on a table and cover yourself with a sheet. To Schedule: Members will call or stop by the Front Desk at the Community Center to request a massage reservation. Our Attendant will contact the Massage Therapists for availability and will confirm appointment times. Fees will be charged to member’s monthly statement.

Key Rules and Regulations • All members and guests are required to check-in upon entrance. • All members and guests are required to wear appropriate athletic clothing, which includes a shirt at all times, while using the community center. No swim attire outside pool and locker room areas. • Proper footwear is required when using the community center, except during certain fitness classes and in the locker rooms and the pool area. This includes non-marking soled shoes on courts and closed toed shoes on fitness floor. • Any members and guests age 18 and older must have a signed Release of Liability & Health Waiver Form on file prior to use of the facilities or upon checking into the facility. • No food or liquor may be brought into the Community Center unless provided by the Clubhouse. • Members and guests should dispose of all litter and return areas to the same manner as found. • Water and sports drinks, in sealed bottles or drink containers only, are permitted in the fitness area, indoor courts, fitness classrooms, locker rooms and pool area. • Fitness Floor - Children age 13 and under are not permitted to use the fitness area, unless the children are participating in an organized, supervised program facilitated by a staff member. • Children age 13 and under are permitted to use the walking track with adult supervision present on the track. Strollers are permitted on the track but not in group fitness room or cardio/weight fitness areas. • Walkers should use the inside lanes; runners should use the outside lanes. • Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee for fitness classes and massage. • Fitness Floor - Children age 14 and older are required to complete an equipment orientation provided by a designated staff member prior to utilizing the fitness area. • Weight equipment - Please share equipment in a respectful manner; allow others to work in. • Wipe down equipment after use with sanitizer wipes. • Replace dumbbells and other equipment immediately after use; no chalk; weight collars required; use a spotter with heavy weights; no slamming or dropping weights. • Personal trainers, coaches, instructors must be vetted and approved by The Q management. • Locker Rooms - Children age 5 and younger, regardless of gender, may be brought into the main locker rooms by a parent or guardian (or use the Family Locker Room); Children age 6 to 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian of the same gender in the locker rooms. • Sauna/Steam Rooms - Children age 13 and under are not permitted to use the sauna/steam rooms; Children age 14 to 17 are permitted to use the sauna/steam rooms with a parent or guardian. • Pool - Children age 13 and under are not permitted to enter or use the pool area without proper parent, guardian, or certified lifeguard supervision; Children age 14 and older may use the pool area without supervision. • Only community center labeled, facility-owned pool toys are allowed in the pool area (toys in the pool that may have sand or metal will damage the pump). • Children under 1 year of age and older than 9 years will not be allowed in the Lake Kids Club. Parents of children ages 1 and 2 will need to make a reservation 48 hours ahead of time. • Lake Kids Club - The maximum amount of time a child can be under care at one time is two hours. • While a child is in the Lake Kids Club, the parent or guardian age 18 or older must be either within the Community Center facility or at the outdoor tennis courts. • The Lake Kids Club is on a first-come, first served basis. • Due to state regulations, we cannot change diapers. If a child needs their diaper changed, we will contact the parent or guardian to assist with the situation. • Lake Kids Club - We will have a check-in and check-out process in which we will collect information on how to contact you and who is authorized to pick up your child. Lake Kids' Club A fun and active safe play area where kids can have a great time while you work out and enjoy the many amenities of The Q! Guidelines Children under 1 year of age and older than 9 years of age will not be allowed in the Lake Kids Club. Parents of children ages 1 and 2 will need to make a reservation 48 hours ahead of time to ensure adequate childcare is reserved. The maximum amount of time a child can be under care at one time is two hours. There is not a minimum amount of time a child can be in the Lake Kids Club; however, the fee will not be discounted based on the time your child is in care. While a child is in the Lake Kids Club, the parent or guardian age 18 or older must be either within the Community Center or at the outdoor tennis courts.

These include; motor, cognitive, social/emotional and communication. We have fun, while we learn and play! At this time, our enrichment programs will include yoga and music and will be offered in the afternoons. These activities will provide opportunities for children to learn to self-regulate, learn coping strategies and explore relaxation techniques. Children will bring their lunches.

How To, at The Q: Sign-up for a class: We currently have a maximum of 12 people per group exercise class (max of 4 for Spin Classes). We offer classes such as Yoga, Boot Camp, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Water Aerobics, Spin, Fitness On Demand, and a variety of others! In order to reserve your spot in one of the classes, please visit the Front Desk, call or email. Sign-up for Lake Kids Club: Lake Kids Club is a program set up for parents to have their children supervised while they enjoy the amenities within The Q or on the Outdoor Courts. Lake Kids Club is open Mon-Sat 8:30am to 11:30am and Mon-Thurs 4:30pm to 7:30pm. In order to reserve your spot in LKC, please visit the Front Desk, call or email. Reserve a court: Members will use their LQ Northstar app to reserve indoor court space for Tennis, Basketball, Pickleball, or Volleyball. Simple open your Lake Quivira app, go to the navigation bar, Activities, Community Center, and pick which indoor court you'd like to reserve. If you need guidance or assistance, call the Community Center Front Desk and someone will help walk you through the steps. Room rentals: Members should visit with Community Center Manager regarding renting our Multi-Purpose Room. The room is available for meetings, parties, presentations, etc. The room can be rented for two-hour increments for a fee of $100. Download the Lake Quivira App: Simply visit the App Store, search for Lake Quivira Country Club and download. Download the Fitness on Demand App: Simply visit the App Store, search for Fitness on Demand and download. Fees for all reservations and services will be charged to member’s monthly statement.
