THE SCHEME WAS EXCELLENT VALUE WITH UP TO 50% OFF, UP TO A MAXIMUM OF £10 PER PERSON. SOME VENUES HAVE DECIDED TO FUND A CONTINUATION OF THE DEAL DURING SEPTEMBER, SO YOU’LL NEED TO CHECK WITH EACH RESTAURANT WHAT’S ON OFFER, AS THEY VARY CONSIDERABLY. MAY WE PRESENT OUR BEST POST LOCKDOWN PLATES :-
LUNCH Urban Scullery: Recently rebranded, with a new chef and culinary concept, Urban Scullery is situated at the city end of the Newtownards Road and is an excellent choice for a lunchtime treat that won’t break the bank, but uses quality local ingredients to create tasty and inventive dishes. We decided to share the 3 Tacos for £10 and chose; - the curried chicken with pineapple salsa and coronation mayo - the baked haddock fingers with ST BREAKFA ELFAST B T H IG E FR
curried peas and tartare sauce - the veggie chilli with guacamole and spicy mayo. We also had the Green Giant salad of fresh leaves, broccoli, courgette, edamame beans,

peppers and kale with hot dressing.
Freight Belfast: Together, this made a filling, but healthy Passing CS Lewis Square on the Newtownards
lunch for two.
Road, you could easily mistake “Freight” for some unremarkable industrial storage, and continue towards Ballyhackamore for some traditional breakfast fare. This would be a great shame as these containers house one of East Belfast’s quirkier eateries. An excellent choice is the Vietnamese scrambled egg, accompanied by puffed rice, beansprouts and other seasonal vegetables, served on a delicious caramelised onion flatbread, liberally sprinkled with seeds and chilli. This Asian breakfast alternative is fresh, spicy, and full of flavour. LUNCH N SCU LL
