REVIEW // ECLECTIC

QUITE SOME TIME AGO we were kindly invited for a treatment in Eclectic though with the ever-changing restrictions, businesses opening/closing it was last week when I got in for my treatment, I love a pamper day typically I would get treatments, massages etc a few times a year, though not being possible with covid I was particularly ready for some TLC.

I purposely did not google Eclectic as I wanted to go in with an open mind and no preconceptions, after a nice drive I arrived in Bangor and as first impressions go, I was blown away, not having prior knowledge of the place I was taken aback by the extensive facilities, Nicola proudly gave me a tour, admittedly I assumed what was to the rear of the reception was the extent of the premises so I was super surprised to discover the business was spread over 3 levels, multiple treatment rooms designed with specific treatments in mind, a studio available for private hire and what I can only describe as a state of the art Pilates room kitted out with professional beds and so much more,

words simply won’t do the place justice.

Before I jump too far ahead, I must add that on arrival I was made feel so welcome, everyone was lovely, I’ve been to some places in a similar capacity and on occasion have felt out of place or as if I wasn’t good enough if you know what I mean, well this feeling was completely the opposite, really inviting and relaxed.

I booked to have the Aromatherapy Associates Back Massage prior to arrival, once the tour was complete Nicola left me in the capable hands of the front of house, regrettably I never caught their name though they were lovely, we chatted a little while I completed a medical questionnaire and they brought me a miniature chilled bottle of Evian water, it was so cute.

I was introduced to Stephanie who was going to be doing my treatment, we chatted a little in the treatment room, I explained how I love and really needed a deep tissue massage.

Once the door closed and the Zen music played while lying on the bed I was transported from Bangor to the Bahamas, over approx. the next hour I had the most amazing massage, just the right amount of pressure and as requested Stephanie really went for it on my back, sometimes people are afraid to go to hard though this was just what the Doctor ordered, I imagine Stephanie had sore hands and elbows after getting all the knots and tension out of my back. She did spend sometime on my feet, arms head, neck and chest though which I wasn’t expecting, another wee bonus, though being a back massage this was obviously the main focus

I was so relaxed while getting the treatment at times slipping in and out of sleep, had I of been an on looker I could probably say allot more though in the moment I zoned out and it was great.

My Skin was left so smooth, 4 days on it still feels like a baby’s bottom.

I Found this short blurb on their website and I think it sums up what clients can expect.

A bespoke state-of-the-art Studio designed to offer a unique five-star approach to wellbeing with equal emphasis on Pilates, beauty and wellbeing. Check out their website eclecticlifestyle.com and you can see a full list of what they offer everything from waxing to massages to pedicures, spray tans and reformer Pilates. A full range of Epionce skin treatments including facials and peels are also available and consultations can be booked to determine the right treatment for your skin type.

Thanks for the invite I had a wonderful time the only negative thing was having to go back to work after lol, readers get yourselves to Eclectic you will not be disappointed and you’ll wonder why you haven’t been before.
