Chapter Three

Feats Of the collection of feats in this chapter, some are new and some have been adapted from the Psionics Handbook for use with the mindscape psionic combat system in Chapter One.

he psionic feats chart on this page summarizes the 21 feats in this book. Five of them are metapsionic feats, as described in Chapter Three: Feats of the Psionics Handbook. It’s important to note that feats can be metapsionic even if they do not change the final cost of a power—if a feat changes some aspect of a power’s manifestation, it can also be considered metapsionic.

Feat Descriptions The feats adapted from the Psionics Handbook are marked with an asterisk (*) in the chart above. If you use the mindscape psionic combat system introduced in Chapter One, you should take advantage of these converted feats—they continue to fulfill a role in psionic combat, but now they rely on the variant system.

Anticipate Power [Psionic] You can anticipate and cancel your enemy’s manifestations. Prerequisites: Manifester level 3rd+ Benefit: The psionic complexus of your mind exists partially outside the timestream, and thus it is aware of events a scant few seconds into the future. You can use this feat by readying an action until an opponent tries to manifest a power. If an opponent attempts to manifest a power, make a Psicraft check (DC 15 + the power’s level). If the check succeeds, you correctly identify your opponent’s power and can counter it. (If the check fails, you can’t do either of these things.) You must also take into account metapsionic power point increases of the power anticipated when setting the Psicraft check Difficulty Class. (Every 2 power points of a metapsionic-modified power increases the Difficulty Class of the Psicraft check by 1.) Powers without displays and freely manifested powers cannot be anticipated. To complete the action, you create a psionic interference pattern by expending a number of power points equal to the cost of the power you wish to cancel. (You must also pay the cost of any metamagic power point increases; you can’t spend more power points
