You will compose non-linear music and synchronise sound to the moving image through the use of Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and Digital Audio Editors (DAEs). You will also learn how to edit midi files, tweak sound patterns and layer sounds to convey emotion and strike a chord with the audience, whether that is on apps, moving images or computer games. There’s a particular focus on personal development, so you will identify areas of improvement and an area of interest you would like to explore further in line with your career aspirations. • Freelance Photographer • Photographic Assistant • Picture Editor Practical learning is at the heart of this inspiring degree programme, underpinned by photographic historical and contextual understanding. You will develop your creative vision by learning how to use cameras and studio lighting, and exploring a range of photographic disciplines, from documentary, fashion and portraiture to fine art and commercial. We emphasise work-related learning, so you will experience guest lectures from well-known industry figures such as Tom Martin, Ian Beesley and Murat Özkasim. You will also have the opportunity to visit both national and international events, including Liverpool Look Festival and Derby Format Festival, to develop your ideas. You will explore multiple aspects of photography, ranging from refining your ideas and concepts to working in the industry. At the end of the course, you will produce a professional portfolio that captures your creative talent.
