You will learn basic single-entry bookkeeping skills, financial transactions, reporting and account set-ups, and broaden your understanding of the role of bookkeeper. You will also be exposed to accounting software packages, techniques and principles, giving you a broader understanding of the business environment and how to better prepare for entering the business sector. As an AAT Level 1 qualification, this course also incorporates the Access Award in Business Skills, Access Award in Bookkeeping and the Access Award in Accounting Software.

While studying for this qualification, you will master more complex accounting disciplines, including financial processes, advanced bookkeeping, final accounts and ethical accounting practices. CPQ Advanced Stage builds on the knowledge acquired in CPQ Foundation Stage and includes both the second Ethics and Professional Responsibility module, and a further period of professional experience. At this stage, trainees will also have started to specialise in a specific area of law and on completion will be accredited as CILEX Advanced Paralegals.
