The foundation year is ideal for those who may not meet the entry requirements for the full foundation degree. As you progress, you will enhance your scientific knowledge by studying biology and chemistry alongside mathematics and academic modules. The course is perfect if you love logical subjects such as biotechnical and pharmaceutical sciences, but are uncertain of your specialism. It integrates knowledge across pharmacology, microbiology, immunology and genetics, as well as biomaterials and organic chemistry. Once you complete your foundation year, you will be eligible to progress on to the Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Foundation Degree programme, where you will study specialist modules and can progress to a top-up degree on completion.
