Here are some responses from your fellow Key Clubbers!

“What I like about Key Club the most is meeting new people, the events are also really fun. Just the hands on experience of helping others brings enjoyment to me. It’s nice knowing that I am able to make a difference and give back to the community by taking time to attend a service event.”

Alex Tang (10)

“Well when I first joined Key Club, I was really looking forward to the service events because I’ve never been to one in the past. Joining Key Club gave me many opportunities to attend a lot of the service events and volunteer. I like volunteering because I’m able to do it with my friends while also helping so it’s nice.”

“When I was getting ready to go into high school, I was kind of scared that I would be… I guess alone, but Key Club has given me a place where I can be with my friends and make new ones and also help give back to the community so it has given me a sense of home. It also inspired me to be more active within the community.”

Austin Nguyen (9)

Want to be featured in the newsletter?! No problem! If you have a story about a service event you attended, or if you would like to express your love for Key Club, feel free to submit an article about it to President Leeza by the 1st of every month. On June 6th, Division 7 hosted Officer Training Conference! OTC is an annual event in which is dedicated to training officers about their various roles and duties in the club they serve. OTC is also a chance for members to learn more about leadership and such skills. Although Officer Training Conference is a great place to learn, it is also a wonderful place to meet new and awesome people! Members got the chance to not only meet Key Clubbers from within Division 7 South, but Division 7 North as well! (PC): Albert Le

“By attending the secretary workshop at Officer Training Conference, I was able to learn more about my position and duties. The workshop was really helpful because I got clarity on topics I struggled with before. It was not only me who found this training helpful, I spoke to a few members and was told that it helped them get a preview of what position they wanted to take on in the future. Overall OTC was a great event that helped out many people. I definitely recommend others to attend OTC in the future.”

Hello Key Clubbers! During OTC, I attended several workshops and they were very beneficial. I learned many new things such as more ways to effectively lead the club I serve. I enjoyed many of the workshops that the Division offered. Also paired with OTC was the June DCM which allowed all the clubs within the division to update everyone on the past month! I highly recommend you to attend!

If you missed Officer Training Conference, or if you would like to simply refer back to the PowerPoints, you may do so here! We highly suggest you attend next year! (A huge thanks to all the great presenters!) G double

good job, good job!

On June 18th, board officers from Sheldon Key Club along with Pleasant Grove Key Club and Rancho Murieta Key Club attended the Rancho Murieta Kiwanis meeting. If you did not know, Rancho Murieta is the sponsoring Kiwanis Club for the three clubs which were previously listed! Here at the meeting, each club was given 10 minutes to present about their past term and current statistics to give the Kiwanis an update on the standings of the club we serve. It was a great way to increase communication with our sponsoring Kiwanis as well as relations! If you are ever interested in attending a Kiwanis Meeting, please contact President Leeza or a board officer for more information, it’s a great experience!
