MERCHANT NEWSLETTER ISSUE 04 — SPRING 2018 www.legacywest.com

LEGACY WEST THRIVING AS ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY APPROACHES Even more planned for months ahead. It’s hard to believe that it has been nearly a year since we held our grand opening celebrations at Legacy West. At the time, only a handful of our stores and restaurants were open for business. What a difference a year makes! Today, we have over 30 stores and 15 restaurants open and thriving. This past December marked the opening of our highly anticipated Legacy Hall. People continue visiting Legacy West from all over North Texas—even from neighboring states—to see all that we have to offer. Each month, we continue to add great brands to our unparalleled lineup of existing tenant mix, and the excitement is truly palpable. Legacy West remains the most talked about shopping and dining destination in the region. We plan to work relentlessly to keep it this way. Recently, our management team held one-on-one meetings with our store and restaurant managers. We greatly enjoyed spending time with each one and hearing their thoughts on topics including parking, circulation, wayfinding, property maintenance, and print and media advertising opportunities. It is extremely important to our entire office that the lines of communication always remain open. Everything we heard was taken to heart, and we are pleased to announce several new improvements outlined in this newsletter. They are largely shaped by the feedback we received from all of you. At Legacy West, we believe in true partnership: your success is our success. We continue to do whatever we can to help your business grow and flourish through our targeted marketing, public relations, and strong community relationships. In April, we launched our very own Legacy West Podcast—a first for any retail development in the country—and look forward to using this platform to reach new audiences and connect on a personal level with our customers. So many of our stores and restaurants are exceeding their sales expectations, and we want to see that trend continue. It gives me enormous joy to see thousands strolling along Windrose Avenue, families gathering at the fountains to take photos, or groups of friends enjoying our incredible restaurants. That is what Legacy West is all about! As always, never hesitate to reach out if I can be of any assistance. – Victoria Snee

LEGACY WEST PODCAST In April we announced the debut of Legacy West Podcast. The bi-monthly show, produced in Legacy West’s in-house recording studio, features a range of topics including fashion and beauty, food and drink, wellness and nutrition, and home and interior design. This innovative format presents an opportunity to reach our customers in an intimate way during their daily commute, workout, or anytime they want to plug in their earbuds and tune out everything else. We encourage all stores and restaurants to submit ideas for episodes to podcast@legacywest.com. Legacy West Podcast is available for download at legacywest.com, Apple Podcasts, Google Play, RadioPublic, Stitcher, and other podcast platforms.

Founder Melinda Jones wanted to write words that moved people to braveness of the heart or a better day, and she wanted to print them on paper so good it would make you sigh with the yum of it all. Read Between The Lines® products don’t say ‘Happy Birthday!’ but, rather, ‘You’re The Best And The Mostest,’ or ‘Heck Yes.’ The store sells Read Between The Lines® products as well as curated paper goods, gifts, bar and party wares, jewelry, fine coffee table books, and home decor from designers and makers they love. If you are a paper freak or gift giver, you will feel very at home!

BOX GARDEN NOW OPEN Legacy Hall is now complete with the opening of the Box Garden. With the addition of Carlton Provisions BBQ and five new bars, the Box Garden is already a hit with customers filling the sprawling courtyard. Watch for free concerts throughout the summer from The Polyphonic Spree, The Bright Light Social Hour, and more. UPDATES TO LEGACYWEST.COM We have added several new features to LegacyWest.com that offer each of our stores and restaurants new opportunities to raise awareness for your brands and the exciting things happening specifically at Legacy West. A new invitation screen to subscribe to our newsletter has already led to a dramatic spike in weekly subscriptions. A calendar on our Events & Promotions page offers a clearer presentation of what’s ahead for customers. Individual store pages are redesigned for a better user experience, and restaurants can now include menus that display as a separate pop-up window.

MARKETING & PROMOTION OPPORTUNITIES Monthly eNewsletters and Dedicated eBlasts

A monthly eNewsletter will be emailed the first of every month to our subscriber base of 9,000+. Content should be submitted to Gabriel Roxas by email gabriel@legacywest. com no later than the 20th of each month for consideration. Examples of content include new menu items, sales, or events and promotions. Images (270 x 183) should be submitted along with content. Please send clean images WITHOUT text superimposed on the frame. eBlasts are sent on a weekly basis. Content needs to be scheduled at least one week in advance and is subject to availability. Images (600 x 400) should be submitted along with content containing a proposed email subject line and any additional copy. Please send clean images WITHOUT text superimposed on the frame.

Website

Legacy West can promote tenant sales, products, events and promotions, menu items, and in-store events on our website (www.legacywest.com). Please submit all content ideas at least one week in advance for consideration to gabriel@legacywest. com. At least one image needs to be (1800 x 1059) for a featured image WITHOUT text superimposed on the frame. Additional images of varying sizes can be included in the body of a web page, but at least one image submitted must be (1800 x 1059). Note that getting text-free images big enough for a featured image has been the biggest challenge for building promo and event pages. If no images big enough are available, this can often be addressed by having store employees shoot photos in store. Depending on availability and notice, Gabriel can also visit your store to photograph a featured image. Additional requirements include start and end dates for any sales, events, or promotions, as well as suggested copy. Note that a web page requires more substantial verbiage than a social media post. Visit the Events & Promotions section of our website for examples. For inclusion on the Legacy West blog, please contact Gabriel with your content ideas.

Social Media Platforms

Be sure to follow @LegacyWestPlano on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and encourage your store employees to do the same. You may submit sales, promotions, events, new collections, new menu items, or products/items for consideration to gabriel@legacywest.com. Please send at least one week prior to post date. Requirements include photo (.jpg) form and suggested copy. The goal is to employ a combination of these applications. For example, with enough information for a promo/event page, we can build the page prior to the end of a given month and publish as soon as possible. That same information can also be promoted in the monthly newsletter at the beginning of the following month. Then, social posts can be targeted to specific dates like the beginning of a promotion or midway through to remind customers it is still in effect. This strategy will accomplish maximum reach by separately targeting our web visitors, our email database, and our social followers.

Television/PR Opportunities Legacy West regularly schedules fashion and cooking segments on local television, including FOX 4, NBC 5, WFAA, CBS 11, and CW 33). Contact victoria@legacywest. com to be included in these opportunities and to submit any proposed segment ideas. Models may be provided when hosted by a Legacy West spokesperson. For cooking segments, please provide information about your chef including a bio and segment ideas. Digital Billboard Advertising Legacy West has a large format digital display (18’3” x 27’ x 4”) facing SE at the corner of Legacy Drive and the Dallas North Tollway. Digital advertising opportunities are for Legacy West tenants only and are offered on a limited basis. Images must be static. Email victoria@ legacywest.com for additional details and pricing.

UPDATES ON RULES AND PROCEDURES

MERCHANT REMINDERS

PARKING IMPROVEMENTS

ROOF KEY AND COMMON AREA ROOM ACCESS

Parking concerns were among the top issues cited in our recent merchant surveys. Signs on levels one and two now indicate retail parking only, limited to three hours. We encourage all employees to park on level four and higher to leave better access for retail and restaurant patrons. Our valet system has also been updated. As part of the realignment, we meticulously selected designated valet parking stalls to produce the most efficient system. Signage now indicates valet services in effect after 5p allowing office parking during business hours and valet during peak restaurant and retail hours.

We advise all roof and electrical room access be requested no less than 24 hours in advance, and all keys returned within 24 hours, unless otherwise approved. If emergency roof/room access is needed, we will provide access.

LEAF BLOWERS We have transitioned to battery operated leaf blowers to reduce the level of noise disturbances to The Grand residents. Additionally, we have adjusted the hours of use to earlier in the morning to avoid interference with restaurant and retail preparation for service.

EMPLOYEE PARKING Employees must park on levels 4, 5, and 6 in order to avoid towing.

DELIVERY HOURS Deliveries should be scheduled 7a–10:45a and 2p-4p. If you have any questions about policies and procedures, please contact our property management team.
