DAY 1

Arrive Stavanger

On arrival at Stavanger Airport Sola, guests will be greeted and transferred on the short journey to their downtown hotel. Guests can then enjoy free time ahead of dinner that will take place at the hotel restaurant.

DAY 2

The Ultimate Stavanger City Tour

Following breakfast, your guide will collect you and take you on a fantastic tour of Stavanger, where they will reveal insights into the deep history of this amazing city that has done so much to shape the profile of Norway. This tour will help set the scene for your vacation and will help you navigate the locations of the main

attractions that you will enjoy on your holiday. A visit to the Valberg Tower (Valbergtårnet) which was constructed from 1850 to 1853 and was the former observation tower of Stavanger, will provide you with a panoramic view of the city. A tour of Stavanger Cathedral, Norway’s oldest cathedral, which serves as a stunning centerpiece, really helps you get a feel for this amazing city.

You will also take a walk through the “Street of Colours” which is decorated with incredible street art and boasts a wonderful array of coffee shops and bistros. Make a stop off at Chili Chocolate, to sample Stavanger’s best confectionary. You will stroll to the old town and take in the feeling of Old Stavanger, with narrow, cobbled streets and wooden houses. Your guided tour will last approximately two hours.

After lunch, your programme will see you take in a selection of Stavanger’s museums and visitor attractions.

For the afternoon of Day One, the itinerary will see you visit Stavanger’s most visited attraction, which is the Petroleum Museum, where you will learn all about Stavanger’s emergence as a global oil and gas city, followed by a walk across the harbour to the Viking House, where you will be treated to a virtual reality experience, sitting in a wooden longboat. The next attraction, is Stavanger’s Maritime Museum, which is located next to the Viking House and your day will be complete with a visits to Stavanger’s famous fish canning museum, located a short walk away in the Old Town, where you can learn about Stavanger’s early history as a centre of trade and tinning of fish

Following free time, guests will head back to the hotel before preparing for a gourmet evening that will see you enjoy an amazing array of cuisine by dining at three of Stavanger’s finest restaurants, Fish & Cow, Nick & Jonnies and Renaa Matbaren. During your 3-hour gourmet journey you will be served two superb signature dishes with exciting seasonal variations at each of the restaurants. Drinks are adapted to the dining experience you order along the way.

DAY 3

Cruise the spectacular Lysefjord & Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock)

Following breakfast, guests will head to Stavanger harbour and depart at 10:00 on a wonderful day cruise that gets you close up and personal with the majestic Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) that reaches into the sky above incredible Lysefjord. This exciting Lysefjord cruise takes you to the wonderful and mysterious Vagabond’s Cave and up to the Hengjane Falls where you can feel the spray of mountain water. You will enjoy the striking scenery from the comfort of our boat’s sheltered cabin, with panoramic windows all around and also where you can venture out on the spacious sundeck.

Your vessel arrives back at Stavanger at approximately 13:00. Guests can then break for lunch before heading to Stavanger’s Museum

of Archaeology which showcases Rogaland’s prehistory with the help of antiquities and other archaeological finds from the Stone, Bronze and Viking Ages and up to the end of the Middle Ages. Following your visit you will then head to Stavanger’s famous Lervig Craft Brewery, which is set in wonderful grounds and offers a nice round off to your day to enjoy sampling a range of craft beers or soft drinks, from this modern craft brewing micro pub and brewery.

DAY 4

Departure

Following breakfast guests will transfer back to Stavanger Airport Sola.
